keep phoning my elderly mum very two hours. she doesn't answer. They leave no message. It's really upsetting up. 4/5 calls already today !!

This is a reputable insurance company - 'Insure4Retirement' - which has a 5-star Defaqto rating and is a Which? Recommended Provider. If you've used a comparison site for insurance - eg comparethemarket or confused.com, it is likely that you will receive calls from companies such as this (an inevitable consequence of giving out personal data online - and you thought it was confidential?????????) Actually, a good company which deals (I believe) with just the over-50s (age, I understand, not IQ) - worth getting a quote from them.

They might be 7th in the top 10 but I would always go for a mutual insurance company such as NFU

There are dozens of 5 star rated on Defaqto. Stands for less than Which? rating I think

Thanks, very timely summary which is how I identified that Insure4retirement were the culprits. I have updated it because some of the links were dated. Hope this helps some other call spam victims find them. I would also ask what will happen to the insurance if they go bust because their finances are almost minus £10 million! Anyway, this number blocked and rant over.

A pointless call from this number ,they didn't even let the phone go to answerphone before they hung up ...!,so if I'm in next time and that number comes up I won't be answering it that's for sure..!

Just had a silent call from this number.  

I never buy anything from unsolicited phonecalls....and CERTAINLY never financial products or insurance.   Protect yourself and always deal with reputable companies!

Insurance company , guy named Mitch refused to give his surname. Very rude and smug.Demanded to know when anybody would be at home over next few weeks. Refused to put supervisor on line. Thought his attitude was a big joke. Avoid giving any personal info to this number with dubious intentions.

We are registered with the TPS so how are all these calls getting through to us - some insurance call - wouldn't ask someone who phones for a quote ever so why don't they get the message and leave us alone.  They knew our surname and asked for Mr

mm...first call I've had from this lot for a time,but I noted the ''0845 etc. number' and ignored it and soon as it went to answerphone they hung up ...so no change there then ..!!

Called again twice today,but do these merchants really think that when they can't even be bothered to leave a message for you when you are out ,that you will be rushing to speak to them when you note their comes up when you are in...???...no chance whatsoever...!!

Well aren't I the lucky one !!, they called again this morning but I noticed the number and declined to answer as soon as it went to answerphone they hung up .....as they usually do, this time the last time and no doubt the next time..!!

Had a 45 minute call from this insurance group yesterday---talking about my home / contents insurance--ended with them quoting £236.63---happy with that so got my card to pay--when I got back to the phone--lady--very polite--said before we take your card details --just a couple more questions--have there been any flooding in the last nine years in an area 3.1 miles radius from your house ?---yes I reply,but not my property--added it would be hard to find any property which did not have somebody flooded within 3.1 mile of there property--- she said--please wait---came back,your quote now is £704 !!!!---i said by---so did the polite lady !!!--think she was embarrassed---put the point is,insurance companies can not lose---if you say no to that question,and then claim for a freak flood(happening more and more !!--they will not pay out,because it would be easy too find a flooded property within 3.1 mile within the previos nine years.and state that you "lied" on your details !!!

Called me but no message left

Caller claimed to represent a financial compensation claim company saying that we may be owed money from overpaying on our mortgage. They gave more spiel then said there would be an up front fee of £450 (Refundable if they are unsuccessful) (Yeah Right) then wanted bank account details for payment. Sounds like a total Phishing Scam

Keeps calling but no one answers

This number calls at around 5.30pm every day - I have not answered it as I don't recognise the number
