Have had 2 calls from this number (only 2 rings each time); by the time I get to the phone they have hung up.

1st call:  at   8.34 AM
2nd call: at  8.45 AM

Just got a call from these clowns claiming they worked for my local council. I pressed them on this and they still claimed they worked on behalf of or with my local council. I then pointed out to them that I am a councillor, TPS registered and I know my council has no relationship with them. I then told them my council will be contacting them, about their bogus claims and put the phone down on them.

Had a call at about 3 o/clock this morning, went to ansaphone and they didn't leave a message

Just received a call from these lovely people ... I'm absolutely furious! Very sharp practices. Told me that she was working for NES on behalf of the government, that I haven't claimed my grants for insulation and that regulations mean that I have to!! I asked her to repeat who she was working for and she said "the government"!! Unbelievable!
Be careful out there folks!

PS - We are registered with the TPS.

very loud and direct woman said she was calling to offer government energy grants. Then went on to try and confirm my address. I didnt answer butasked who she worked for..she sai National energy services. She made it sound as if it was a government scheme.  I firmly said 'no thankyou' and she argued 'so you dont want a grant' I hung up.

Called me today, claiming to be Government agent for Insulation and whether I received any package from govt, i said no and they hang up. I was surprised that they know my name and house number with address and telephone number.

Just been called by 0845 1113111

Caller: "Hello, I'm a government grants advisor for the Truro area."

Me: "What organisation are you from?"

Caller: "Nationwide Energy Services."

Me: "Let me just get a pen."

At which point the caller hangs up!

Got a call from this number at 19:00 tonight.  I knew they were going through an out-of-date telephone directory as they asked for the previous holders of my number.  They then asked "Are you the home owner?"  I politely told them that I couldn't talk to them and hung up, will complain to TPS as my number has been TPS registered since I took it over some 8 months ago.

I got a call today at 08.46 am from a man with an 'official' sounding voice, this same Nationwide company about loft insulation/eligible for a Govt. grant etc. Told him I've already had it done. He asked if in the last 10years and I said yes. He said he would take my name off their list. I am also registered with TPS for MANY YEARS. I feel they are a WASTE of time, don't seem to be doing anything to stop these calls getting through. They should also do something to stop the unwanted calls from India or those that 'we do not have the callers number to return the call'.
If I get a call where I can't get a word in, I just put the receiver on the table for a few mins. to let them carry on then pick up the receiver where either they've gone or I speak.  I now keep a whistle near the phone so anyone who keeps calling back will get it in their ears and hopefully not bother us again. I live in Essex, miles away from Wales!

This number keeps calling and although they are polite it is a nuisance. I asked them to remove me from their list as we have already gone through the stages of trying to get a grant and being refused one, and they said that at least 20 companies are trying to get business via these calls so they couldn't guarantee that we would not get any more. We also get at least one silent call every other day. I registered with TPS ages ago but it doesn't work with these people.

Called yet again - they hang up almost every time I answer.  Am getting fed up with it, and we are also TPS registered

Filed my complaint with TPS last week as above, and they have emailed me back stating they will take it up with this company.  The email also invites me to complain further if I get any further calls after 28 days.  I don't know how effective this will be, but I would like to encourage everyone who is TPS registered to complain via their website - it only takes a couple of minutes, and I think it could help.  For what it's worth, I have previously had to complain on one occasion to the Mailing Preference Service (linked to TPS) and they handled it really well and the offenders went away never to return :)

Just had a call from this number which left about five minutes of wheee-wooo-wheee-wooo siren noise on my answering service. Odd.

Received a 'cold' call yesterday Friday saying I had not taken up the offer for a grant for loft insulation; how do 'they' know that.  Also asked about wall insulation.  I said I as not interested as I was up to date on both.

I tried calling back but there was no 'pickup'.  I tried calling today Saturday and all I got was music!

Same as others: Despite being with TPS and ex-Directory I received a cold call at twenty past 8 this evening from these people claiming to be acting on behalf of the government. They also got my name wrong and obviously I did not correct them. I understood phishing calls such as these were illegal, so why has their number not been pulled?

Got a second call from these people today - seven weeks after they last called when I told them I am not a home owner and to take me off their list. The owner of the property does not get these calls (we have separate telephone numbers at the same address, both ex-directory & TPS registered). I wanted to find out more about them, so played along. They said they were working on behalf of the Government grant scheme for loft & cavity wall insulation and their "records" showed we had not claimed a grant. When I said we already had both done free by British Gas to full thickness, they asked when (late last year / early this year). The caller thanked me, said goodbye & hung up - but without giving me time to reiterate that my details should be removed fro their list.
