To get rid of all nuisance calls, I would strongly recommend  buying a Truecall unit. They are not cheap at around £80, but you will never be bothered telemarketers and wrong numbers again.

only had my nuber for 3mnths and already had 75 calls from this number no one speaks when i answer get music if i caqll it back abd i am a memebre of the tps

Yep, same as all of the above.  Asked whether i'ma Mrs Davies or xxxx and I said not and asked them not to call again as I was recieving telephone calls from them up to 5 times a day!!

We shall see what happens tommorrow!!!!!

Told me it was for loft insulation until I told him that I live in a new property!!!!  i also tried to telephone back after It woke me this morning to find that htye weren't answering.

My phone is TPS registered, though I still get at least one call centre a week calling.  This number though was the worst ever.  My wife had a very aggressive caller from this number, which left her quite upset.  The caller kept pushing and demanding that he give her a 5-minute consultation at our home, and quoted our address.  He was very aggressive and rude.  She ended up hanging up and dialing 1471 to get the number.  I then tried to call it and it rang out for over 30 seconds each time I tried.

Accidently answered a call and it was this bunch.  He claimed to be enquiring about some home insulation grant and said he was calling on behalf of Nationwide Energy Services. He gave me 0800 633 5769 as their customer service number.

I told he had an obligation to check te TPS register, which I am on, but said it was an automated system he had no control over!

Keeps on calling - everytime I tell them am registered with TPS answer politely "sorry" but does not stop calling, Today said were Nationwide Energy, other times other names ... Cowboys!

Please leave me alone! Dont want or need your calls! Many thanks for the info on this site.

missed call but curious so typed the number into the net and found this web site, very interesting, needless to say i wont be calling them back

Calling for a grant to do with Loft Insulation ,Claiming to be Nationwide Grants,they say they got my number from survey systems,I myself have gone through telecom to block all these callers,it doe's work sadly the odd one finds its way through. I find out as much information as I can and see if they do not hide there Number.

I had the same ,See my last reply around 18:30 hrs.  This call claimed to be Nationwide Loft Insulation ,and wanted to know if I applied for a grant. I am very blunt,I do try to find out as much info as possible about who is calling and then after hanging up ,see if they have with held their Number.on this occasion
they did not. There are many bogus callers wanting to know info about you anything they can .Do not give them anything.

Have had repeated calls asking asking for a Mr Hutchinson, although not always from this number (0845 1113111). As far as we known, no-one of that name has ever lived here, certainly not in the last 20 years. I try to get them to talk, but they always hang up. The last one promised to take us off the list. We shall see!

I have had the same problem with this number so now I ask them to repeat what they have said because I have a problem on the line then blow a whistle into the phone and hang up.

I just got a call from this number.  I'm also TPS registered so they shouldn't have phoned me.

Anyway, when I answered the phone nobody spoke at their end although I could hear what I presume was one of their managers giving the person who should have taken my call a bit of a pep-talk.

Apparently most people they call don't give a s**t about getting the insulation fitted but the secret is to keep talking and not give the person called a chance to ask any questions.  It doesn't matter if they give us (the people called) a load of b****cks because most of us are so thick that we won't remember what we're told anyway.

At that point the person being given the pep talk must have realised that he had someone on the end of the line so he suddenly said 'Hello'.

I just said to him not to bother as I didn't give a s**t about getting insulation fitted and was too thick to remember anything he told me anyway.

I then hung up the phone!
