Out of interest I actually answered this as it came up as 0845 on my caller display so I thought this was a tracable number.  I did insist on knowing the name of the company - NES - so I could look them up the man also gave me details of their address in Swansea.  Tried selling loft insulation and cavity wall insulation. He realised I knew more about insulation than he did and said company would not ring again.  we shall see.
Does make a mockery of TPS

Yes, I have had this call too, he was clearly welsh, but claiming to represent hampshire for loft insulation. Said putting me on hold but could hear lots of giggling an talk of spiders! Could not cut the call off. He has told me a man called David Basely is coming round to look at the loft! I don't jolly well think so!

what i do is answer it them put the phone down see if they like it also ring 1477 it registered it as a nusisance call also you can register with bar calling that stops them

Just had call from them saying they were "Nationwide Home Improvements" and telling me that their system says I'd not taken my "Government Insulation Grant".

Given that I have full cavity and loft insulation, paid for under government grant (and I'm registered with the TPS) I told them to start using the TPS and stop calling me.

I have had 17  calls from this company over the last 6 weeks. Number not stored. The usual "you were called today, etc." So, decided to press 2 to return the call. Very clever, never revealing the company name or telephone number. I am a retired police officer and despte using all my powers of interviewing techniques, no joy. So I ended up booking a representative to come and measure up for the free loft insulation, althought it was done 2 years ago. I received a telephone call a few days later to make an appointment with me and managed to find out telephone number, 08451113111 and the company name was National Energy. On checking, cannot find any info. about this company on the web though.
An going to let the rep. call, lock all the doors and refuse to let him out until he reveals the company's name, address, telephone number, etc.  Extreme, I know, and I could be prosecuted but something has to be done about this company. Best of luck to the rest of you, I have just had enough of my evenings being regularly interrupted.

Just got a phonecall off this number, despite being on TPS. I am assuming I was overhearing a conversation as I heard a lot of F***s being yelled! When I said, 'erm Hello?' They slammed the phone down - nice! They are the same company that have been harassing me at the doorstep for nearly 2 years now, I have resorted to having a sign saying we don't need anymore roof/cavity wall insulation!

Keep getting constant missed calls from this number, when I do pick up and tell them I am not interested they hang up.

Just had my 100th call from ''Nationwide energy'' at least it's during the day this time.still trying to give me loft and cavity wall insulation ''honestly it's free'' . I'm going to buy a fog horn today ready for the next time these idiots decide to ring me at 9pm at night !

Friday Lunch time.         We have just had this call at Barton-on-Sea!

I now have a list by my phone of numbers for my kids to avoid answering on my caller ID! This number has called today but I didn't answer before checking it on here first!

In the process of changing phone and broadband provider who kindly offered the option of changing our number free of charge- guess what- I accepted and will not be giving it to anyone other than family and friends!

Be aware..I have only started getting these calls more frequently since telling AOL what to do with their phone and internet- may be worth checking your third party options with yours!

received a number of calls from this number, I'm registered with tps but they don't care avoid this number, Its about time the government took control of this problem and put a stop to unwanted marketing calls as pts do not work

Just missed a call from this number, now I know who it was if they ring again they'll regret it.  Totally fed up with these calls, we are in a rented property which I have told them all over and over again but they still keep ringing and we're registered with TPS and not in the phone book with the correct name!

Getting calls from these people and lots of others , this only started about three months after joining TalkTalk.

So sick of these companies I registered so that I would not receive these calls ....and yet I do seemingly companies sell the numbers to each other... So much for being x directory eh....
