Claimed to be offering grants for insulation of properties.

Hung up when I said my house was up to the latest standard.
Have had them before, twice.

Just got a call from 0845 111 3111 (according to 1471). Answered the phone and it straight away went to the unobtainable tone. Not the first time this week. We are with BT but were with TalkTalk until last May, and are TPS registered. Useful information on this forum.

we keep getting the calls from 0845 111 3111 ... if u have a phone with an answering machine , set it to goto answering machine after a few rings so you can see the number that comes up.
If it's from a number you recognise ... answer it ..
If it's not ..leave it to go onto answering machine ... they hang up  :)) happy days ..lol

I got a silent call on a bank holiday, no idea who the comapny is or whay they are calling me. I'm also registered with TPS.

Energy grant scam. TPS listed. Do they ever look here to see what happens in the real world?

Keep getting this on our phone have been reg'd with tps fro YEARS and still they keep coming

At home from work ill and just woken up by this company calling.  We have been called several times before.  Three times we were called yesterday by another company called something 'Customer Survey'.  their number comes up as unavailable.  It is ridiculous.

You do all know that if you ignore the calls or answer then hang up every time a sales call or marketing call rings you then they will carry on ringing you. You should answer then ask them to remove your call from there calling list. Same goes if you are registered with TPS, you should tell them that you are and asked to be removed from there calling list, and if they carry on ringing once you have asked this you should then make a complaint which I believe you can do on the TPS website.

Also TalkTalk are b*stards for giving your number out to sales companies etc.

Called twice now even though my number is register with TPS and ex-directory. They offer 'free' loft insulation fitted subject to a free survey whilst they are operating in my area all backed by a government grant. You are given no thinking time and I was forced to just hang up to end the call.

After a little research on the trusty internet I discovered the company does install loft insulation. However the government grant is only 100% of the cost if you qualify for certain benefits or are over the age of 70.

I see no reason why I as a homeowner should help the government reach a target it set for reducing carbon emissions, at my expense.

Where on earth could I store many of my posessions if the loft space was full of rockwool to a depth of 270mm.

This number has been plaguing my mobile for months on end now and I'm also TPS registered. Not once in hundreds of calls have I spoken to them, if I answer which is once in a blue moon I tell them to f off, play loud music or tonight after 4 calls today alone I answered and simply screamed my lungs out as if my survival depended on it. Hopefully the moronic headset wearer on the other end of the line has finished tonight's shift early with a perforated eardrum!! I'm buying a loud whistle now and as long as I'm not in the office or out in public when they call I'll answer and blast the buggers ears till they tire of their tedious calls and remove me from their database.

They called about insulation grants. My council has already sent out a warning that the companies they deal with for grants DO NOT COLD CALL, and not to deal with anyone that does. I told him this and ended the call.

They just phoned asking to speak to my wifes son who doesnt live here anymore then asked if this was an address which it isnt

This number is Nationwide Energy, there are some annoyed people out there who have already complained repeatedly about there calls getting through to TPS registered phones, and have in some cases received compensation from them for their nuisance calls. If I get 1 more call from them I will sue them.

Fed up of hearing my 79 yr old mum getting upset about these calls. Was visiting her when she got this one, she has a list of the nuisance callers this was on the list. I spoke to a foreign gentleman who wanted her to complete a survey. Anyway he got tired of arguing and put the phone down. She is on TPS and I bought her a cordless phone with caller ID but they still get through. She knows now to ignore International but still answers 0845 in case they are utilities etc. Is there no-one who issues numbers responsible for the upset that is caused by these jokers.

This number called at 8.15 in the morning.  No message.  When answered before no response.

This is not the first time.

Only talktalk know my phone number so they must have sold it to this and the other companies that keep calling me.
