You can create blacklists and often, because of the recorded challenge they get when they call, they just hang up.

Friends and family you put in a whitelist, so they just come straight through and the phone rings as normal.

Yeah I keep getting these calls too!  No idea who it is sorry!

Dont know whats worse , these unwanted calls , TalkTalk selling my personal data to them ,the poeple on here spamming others to spend over £100 on truecall or TPS and ofcom being useless to take action against all the above.

He's not 'spamming' True Call.

It happens to be a good solution for some people.  I don't need it as I rely on looking at Caller ID but if I had young kids living at home I'd certainly think it was £100 well spent - and I don't work for True Call or have any financial interest in them.  If you ask me, the features True Call provide sould be available as standard on any BT handset.

As for Talk Talk selling your number, how do you know that?  Do you ever call anyone?  In that case they will have your number - duhrrr....

What an idiot.

The company is called Nationwide Energy. The said they have no infomation of any grants at my address (well why would they?) and they could save me money on my energy bills with insulation. I have insulation but have never told them that. So they keep calling me and I keep saying 'I'm not telling you' and they keep hanging up on me. Well it is there money they are wasting aint it lol

Asked for me by name. When asked who's calling they said "Nationwide Energy" I hung up.

TPS is the most utterly useless organisation in the country.  Note to politicians: if you want my vote, give TPS, OFCOM etc real teeth to fine these jerks heavily or preferably make it a criminal offence.

Said they were from the grants company for my area - very pushy even when told I was not interested.
Seem to  ignore the fact that we are registered with TPS

TPS is funded by the Direct Marketing industry. No incentive to act really. NO Government money.  When they get to grips with cold calling pigs will aviate!

Had a call from this company who ended up calling me an idiot and put the phone down. Outrageous and now have very high blood pressure.

telephoned at 20:41 didn't recognise number and so let it go to answer phone- they hung up, registered with TPS

The best thing i found to do with these people is if your a withheld number just say to them that if they call again you will get them done under the data protection act. they soon hang the phone up. mine have slowly reduced in nusience calls since i started doin that.

Keep getting calls from this number. It rings once and stops so never get to phone to answer. Thanks to this site I now know who it is. Wish they would stop.

I got a call on this number when I was out and I expect it is a scam

08:46 June 4th 2012 - voicemail kicked in no message left - saved me telling them to foxtrot oscar and saved them an earfull.

This month I have had 2 calls from this number. As I have caller display and dont answer numbers I do not recognise or anything withheld, I did not answer. No message was left.  I am both ex-directory and TPS registered. Thanks for identifying the caller.

This number keeps repeatedly calling. There is never anyone there when you pick up the phone - the line is 'live' but no one will speak. When you put the phone down as I did today - then pick it up later - the line was still open - and i was unable to make any calls from my landline.

This is unacceptable especially as i am disabled and my landline is not only ex-directory but on a caller preferential list and removed from marketing materials. I have been unable to find out whom the caller/company is. When you dial the number to find out whom it is ..... There is no answer.

Reading the large number of complaints. Why isnt anyone doing anything about this number/company?

this number 08451113111 is from a company called Nationwide Energy. They imply they have permission to call. THEY DO NOT.  Their data is bought from other companies and used without permission from the receiver. If you have a phone that displays the number - do NOT answer. Report this company to TPS, British Telecom and the ICO.If you answer the call - state that you will report them. You may get a hostile reponse - ignore this and report them anyway.
Lets beat the [***]!!
