Not exactly a scam Mick.  Just overly agressive telemarketing.

I think all UK subscriber landlines should have the following capabilities: -

1) Ability to automatically refuse calls where caller-id is withheld - AT NO COST

2) Ability to automatically refuse INTERNATIONAL calls - AT NO COST

3) Ability to add calling numbers to a block-list so the phone doesn't ring - AT NOT COST

This should be enshrined in law - what a vote winner.

Any decent telecoms provided would do this anyway without us having to fork out £100 for TrueCall.

Had their call as well. We are registered with TPS but have you all noticed - this service is absolutely useless!

Same call for me, only they asked for the previous resident by name.  This number also TPS registered, but they don't seem to have picked up on this.  Their operator was unfazed by this and carried on trying to sell me, until I had to be quite blunt. Will be reporting to the TPS now.

this caller has repeated called my very poorly disabled father for the last three months everyday three times a day. When he asks them to stop calling and remove his number from their database. The man and women laugh and tell him that they will not and there is nothing he can do about it. Well we will see about so if you see this you hateful low lifes I'm contacting the police today. And I hope someone harasses you when you are living the very last days of your life and put you in an early grave as you are doing to my father.

I had a call from this number 5 minutes ago. I didn't pick up as I have caller display and was just coming out my shower. I've been getting loads of annoying marketing/ companies trying to sell stuff recently.
A mate has suggested to me if any of these firms call me again and I'm tempted to pick up the phone, I should blow a very loud whistle down the phone.

Received a call a few minutes ago from a company stating that they were calling from Nationwide Improvements in Swansea.  I have received calls from them before and told them that I am not interested and to take my number off their calling list.  From a Google search, I noted that they have adverts on a government website advertising 'cold calling' jobs from Swansea call centre!!

Received calls from 0845 111 3111 at 8.15pm on friday 15th June and also at 13.56pm on saturday 16th June. We're registered with the TPS and our number is ex.directory.

If someone could do a search on Companies House and provide details of the directors of this company along with their home address and telephone numbers that would be a start. Call round with a few mates for a chat.

I've just been given a new number by BT due to my last number receiving far too many unwanted calls, and I've just had a call from this bunch of jokers on my new number.

BT tried to tell me to use the TPS (I was already using it) so I suggested that they stop recommending it as the answer to peoples problems as it DOESN'T WORK. People calling from India or UK based scammers don't give a damn about the TPS.

I am on TPS and have been for many years, This company have been trying to phone me for atleast the last 2 years.  

They can call at any time between 8am and 9pm.  Mostly only once a day and only a few times a week to my knowledge.

There are a lot of people complaining that TPS is useless because they are registered but are still getting unwanted calls.  I too am registered and I very rarely get marketing calls.  The reason for this is that registering alone does not stop calls.  Reputable companies obey TPS rules and check their call lists for registered numbers and do not call them.  Rogue companies do not do this and will call anyone.  These callers need to be reported to TPS.  If we do not report them them TPS does not know they are calling us, it is not a "Big Brother" service which knows who is calling us.  I report any rogue calls and never get more than one.  Of course this does not apply to calls from overseas which no-one seems able to stop.  So there it is, folks,  REPORT THE CALLS.

Just got a call from this number - they hung up as soon as I answered.

If TPS works so well, how come , when I try to report the increasing cold calling numbers I am getting every day ( never answered by the way as I have caller display and a special ring tone for people I wish to speak to ) I get an e-mail from them saying I can't report as I am not registered ! I have been registered for years, both land line and mobile, and have not changed numbers.An e-mail sent by me to query this has not been answered so I don't know where I stand!

I once had a caller tell me that my TPS registration had expired.  Although I didn't believe that, i went to the TPS site and tried to re-register.  It immediately came up and said I was already registered.  There is one thing which has just come to mind.  If you Google TPS, the first entry is the Telephone PROTECTION Service,  a private company, which charges a fee,  They seem to have hijacked the TPS acronym.  To complain to the real TPS the website is mpsonline.  Is it possible that this is what happened with you?

When these call centers ring you and you are on TPS, send an e-mail to No 10 and request that they look into this matter, afterall these people are, allegedly, ringing in the Governments name.

I do wish they would stop ringing, I work nights and lack of sleep is now driving me mad. Does anyone know of a telephone manufacturer that makes land line telephones that are able to block unwanted numbers....rather like a mobile phone?

Nationwide Energy Services... ANNOYING... Directors name is Neville Wilshire i'm trying to locate is home/mobile number and i will find it and when i do i'm gonna phone him constantly! when i find info i'll put it on here! :):)
