More of the same "Grant Adviser For Your Local Area, Not Selling Anything"

So why call me ?   Muppets .....

Called me twice, knew the first part of my postcode and last name. Tried to offer me a grant and when I said no thanks he got aggressive and hung up.

Why cant this be STOPPED. errRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!

I'm registered on TPS but I still received a call this afternoon from Nationwide Energy Services on 0845 1113111.

The Welsh sounding lady who spoke to me said that I would be able to get grants for Cavity Wall Insulation & extra Loft insulation & that someone could come & do a survey for free as they would be in my area.

I've since checked a few Energy websites and according to the official Warm Front website, there are no longer any grants available in England unless you meet low income criteria. Beware!

Just had 2 phone calls.  Didn't answer it as after the first one, I checked it out on here. Now I am forewarned.
I am registered with TPS, so should not get these marketing calls.

Just got a call off of these, didn't answer as I was eating my dinner.....came on here and checked the number as I didn't recognise it.

I REALLY hope they ring me back.

They call me on my mobile (which is registered with TPS) asking for someone... have to tell them they have the wrong number. Strange how I also got another call earlier today from another number with the same random name - 01792311560

Asked me for my debit card detail..after explaining that they can get some money back for me from the water companies..Yes they said that TV watchdg has screened recently that we have all been charged incorrectly for our water bills, (this maybe true) . thay said that they get back usually about £300 for customers but they needed £34 as a down payment...Then asked for my card details ..I put down the phone

Got a call - beautiful Welsh accent - saying he was the "Government Grants Advisor" and when asked which Government department he replied they were Nationwide! I asked if that were the Nationwide Building Society? A neat answer from him implied he was but did not say yes. They wanted to send a surveyor to check cavity wall and roof lagging - all free of course.

Having told them that I only rented the house, they still insisted on coming and needed names of residents and other information that I was not prepared to give. At this point I hung up.

The number is TPS registered but that seems to make no difference.

Simply it is an unwanted sales call.

I have had same problem several calls off several numbers all linked so watch out for 08006335769 also 07921268001 also 07773018438 also 08451113111 they have no authority to do council propertys . The council will write to you and arrange appointments by letter if in doubt and your a council tennant if they come to your house dont let them in take there ID off them and speak to the council this is a scam .I have been to the council and they are investigating  this as its not just loft insulation or cavity wall but they are also gaining access to your property by saying they are from the council doing a survey to change your doors internal but then go through the house checking in your cupboards, bedrooms, garage and even in your shed WHY? . This is being ivestigated also by the police i have also phoned BT and got all these numbers blocked but as i said this is all linked and they use other numbers to get through to you . They keep on phoning please dont call us we will call you.

Just received a call purporting to be from Weekly Net?? in respect of PPI claims. I can claim back monies paid in PPI within the last 10 years for loans or credit card transactions, even though I regularly informed him that I did not have either a credit card, nor have had a loan. After he came to the end of his script, he wished me a good day.  I do have plenty of time, I do like to string the caller along, and I may have not been fully up front with the truth, however it helped me to pass the day.

Been phoning up many times over last few weeks, Pick it up and asks for generic Mr and then Surname, I ask whom they require as there are more than one at this address and then they hang up.

Obviously linked to something dodgy as otherwise they would not hand up everytime this is asked

had a call today but ignored as was eating tea with my little one..just a thought after reading all the threads and most being registered with TPS,as we are ..is this worth it? I still get loads of calls and they always always misprounounce my surname which isnt that hard and bugs me!..

0845-111 xxxx numbers belong to Virgin Media Wholesale Ltd. 0800-953 0180.

this is a scam call from a grants company. Im ex -directory and do not give my land line no out i wish theyd stop selling private nos to companies

Had a landline call about 10 minutes ago, no message left, checked this website - good job we have this so we can log calls and tip each other off.
Based upon comments above I Googled and found the following job advert!

they rang me at the weekend saying that i could reclaim thousands of pounds that i have payed out in PPI through loans or HP, when i asked what loans they were they said the loans that i had taken out, when i started to get angry with him he hung up.

They called me today on my mobile I told them the kids were playing up and if they could just hold on a minute. Went upstairs put my phone in the drawer went back two hours later and then hung up.

I sometimes wonder why I bothered registering with TPS - 3 calls today from this firm

had this call 7 times today, who are they???

I received two calls today.  I answered one and when I realised that it was a scam (I gave no information) I just put the phone down and walked away from it,  I left it untouched figuring that they are paying for the call - which means that their bill was increasing!
