I received a text message from "Nationwide", no number supplied. My bank is Nationwide, but they didn't know anything about this text... It said "Nationwide will be calling you using an automated messaging service. Following a validation process please take advantage of the self service options available".

I didn't know what this was about or why I was receiving this.

2 hours later, I received a call from 0845 111 3111, answered the call and I could hear what sounded like a busy call centre, but nobody actually on the line. No answer at all from the other end. I hung up and googled the number which may be here.

The text may be irrellevant, but it seems coincidental that the company stated here is also called Nationwide.

I have just received a call from Nationwide Energy telling me I can get a grant for Cavity Wall and Loft Insulation.Has anybody delt with this company are they leghit

Just got a call from this company. They also called last week and after discussion about any benefits we were on, we told them no thanks. Despite being registered with TPS they continue to call. I have just given a complaint through the TPS website (for whatever good that will do)

This number (0845 111 3111) keeps calling me even though I am registered with the TPS ~ pretty damned annoying!!!!!!!!!

They phoned me at 1240 today, but my call screening system blocked them and I zapped the number to stop them calling again.   By 1315 I had checked on here, reported them to TPS, phoned them on the freephone number on the website and politely told them them to delete my number of the list.  The girl was polite and apologetic.  We wait to see how many more calls I get.

TPS is useless as I am with them and was still getting calls so I had to fork out for a device from truecall that stops any unwanted calls and since I had this I do not get any calls because as soon as these companys realise I have this machine they put the phone down and my phone does not even ring and if they do get through I can zap them which means the truecall will tell the caller that we do not want to speak to them and not to ring again. Its a bit expensive @ £100 but its well worth it and we never get these scammers now. When this company rang us yesterday (Bank Holiday) my phone did not even ring!! Peace perfect peace!!

If they call and say they are conducting a SURVEY, they aren't breaching TPS rules, it's a bl**dy big loophole. Only if they are selling you something do they have to comply.

Not that I would encourage such behaviour but it's a pity we don't have teams of people calling 0800 633 5769 several times a day, which is the freefone number for Nationwide Energy Services in Swansea. This is information gained from their website at http://www.nesuk.com/

They just woke me with one of their stupid calls. I'm TPS registered so have lodged a complaint.

If I want cavity wall insulation I'll look for it myself. If I need a grant I'll look for that. If I want hassle like this I'll remarry.

I live in Cheshire just received call from"Hello I am  Mark? your local Government Grants Office for SK1?  When was the last time you had your loft insulate , do you know we have grants to help"  I ask him do you people not talk to each other My house has been fully insulated 2 years agoand fed up to the back teeth with companies like you ringing I know almost all be there voice british or Asian  Do you not realise I am registered with TPI? he replied do you mean TPS and we have not rung you before correct.!! we have not rung you before and I will remove your name.Sorry

A welsh guy just rang me from this number- asked to speak to me by name, I said how can I help u? He said I'm wondering if you've rec'd your government grant yet?he said he was from Nationwide and I was entitled to receive help for cavity wall and loft insulation, I said I don't need it, he said how come, I live in a new house, he aske me how old my property at *********** was, I said none of yr business and hung up, he was actually laughing as I put the phone down x

I just literally got a call from this number, and they asked my name, which I gave (although wouldn't have if I had read the messages on this site), then, they just hung up. Very mysterious, and I am thinking I might get another call next week now from what other people have said here - and which I will hang up on them this time!

This number rang me, someone said hello and then nothing else.

they called me at 19.45 didnt say anything . I often get window companies ring so when im bored i let them go through their whole routine and i ask lots of questions and at the end of their pitch i tell them i live in housing association property so tough sh*t they tend not to ring again.

TPS registered, but get regular calls from energy grant agencies, PPI claims companies and ambulance-chasers. 0845 111 3111 called this morning. I could hear the operator talking to somebody as I picked up the receiver, but then he just hung up after a few seconds. I rang the number to complain, but nobody answered.
Are these companies really given official licence to ignore the TPS? Recent governments seem so happy to subjugate the rights of citizens to commercial interests (e.g. giving the 2011 census to Lockheed Martin) that it wouldn't surprise me.

0845 111 3111 called my home business line this morning about 10 mins ago. I did not get to the phone in time but 1471 came up with the number. I get lots of these cold calls, irritating, so I am
cancelling business line and just going to use mobile number. TPS a waste of space.
