this is happening at least once a week on the landline can hear voices then they hang up

Constantly getting phone calls from this number... once a day at least. Very annoying now. How many times must I put the phone down on them before they realise I'm not interested?

Called by this number today. They didn't even wait long enough for my answerphone to kick in, which is how I deal with all calls from 0845 numbers.  

I've also added it to my blocked list.

It's Eon energy "trying to see whether we can save you money on your fuel bills" I had several missed calls on my house phone which is ex-directory and registered TPS, when i did give in and answer the gentlemen was very firendly - i just told him i was in a fixed deal and his quote would have to be near of free for me to pay to come out of it, he thanked me for my time - hopefully thats the last of the calls!

I got a call from 08451 550228 and they said they were EON and ask for Miss (my surname). I smelt a rat as my daughter had left home 10 years ago and has her own place and she would not use our details, why should she? I said that be subscribe to the Telephone Preference Service. The caller then said that Miss XX had entered a competition and had provided her details. I said I thought not and that I would be reporting them. The caller did not apologise. I assumed that they must have the wrong information. I asked for my details (not my daughter's, as that was incorrect) to be removed. They said that if that is what I wanted, I said yes please and they hung up.

I find nuisance calls very disruptive as I am home for a good part of the day. Someone may be calling me for a good reason. I dislike it when companies turn around and say that my wife has entered a survey or a new one, my daughter has entered a competition. They are wrong and I find that this is dishonest and I hope that more people report them under the complaints procedure of TPS as this is the only way people will know the scale of dishonesty.

constant ringing me at 6pm every night and have done for the last 3 days , not answering it as i dont reconize the number but i am geting realy annoyed with this number ringing me ! who ever it is hasnt a right to contact me unless i state so and at that time in the evening is un exceptable !

I just received a call from this number and spent two minutes listening to someone eating crisps on the other end of the phone!! How professional!!!
There was a noisy callcentre in the background.
Can't wait to hear what they are having for dinner!!

Don't worry the way E.ON are going crisps will be their only meal soon.

At least you got sound effects I just the dreaded "silent treatment".

this number called me today like it does 3-4 times day today i answered and it was eon again i told her stop phoning me i'm not intrested and i am a private number and registered not to get sales and marketing  calls she said oh ok and hung up !!

Rings me everyday as soon as I answer they hang up thanks guys won't b picking up again

i got a call from 0845 155 0228 anyone  know who it is?  ive had calls from scottish power on a diff 0845 number?   [possibly the same?

persistent bu**ers from EON keep phoning me but hang up as soon as i answer...hope it's to give me my £100 they promised last year that they never ever paid !!!

Sick of this number calling me - unlike other's here i get an automated voice - i dont bother to listen to it i hang up. Its same time every day 12.20pm. Please how do i stop this - its an intrusion i hate.
I have informed TPS but i still get them.... urhhhrrrg.
