they have been calling me twice a day now for the last week and when i answer they hang up, how can i stop it any ideas?

Called my mobile at 7:50pm , missed it, haven't rung back and i won't be ringing to see about it.

Called, confirmed my name and then hung up. I think they are employed to verify telephone numbers.

rang the number they have an answer machine which asks if you do not wish to be called leave your details and they will remove your information from there data

EON, I did not answer but not happy they are ringing me and have obtained my number against my wishes.

Yes, just confirmed its Eon trying to sell their products. They have called me 10 times in the past 3 days. No problem, just answer and dont speak. Its costing them money to call. No doubt they will soon stop.

yes, they called today and left a silent answer message.

this number is always phoneing me, when i answer it hangs up, but then i answerd it the other day and a man spoke and new my full name. kinda scared.

Eon, phoned my home number last week, then tonight, first I had a call from 01282818207, then straight after I get a call from 0845 550228.  they had my husband on the phone for 45 mins the other day, and we tried to tell them we were not interested in changing providers they just don't get in!

2 calls from this number today n both times they just hang up

This number called me on my mobile and hung up when I answered it....

This number called on our land line and asked for my son who is at University - refused to say who was calling BUT kept asking if this was a business number. I said I would answer their question when they answered mine. Caller said thank you and hung up.

Call from this number 3 times yesterday. each time I answered there was no-one on the line!

Keep getting calls from them, answered it today he said he was from eon and i agreed for a free quote when i signed up for myoffers, i dont think ive ever fully signed up to myoffers either, i might have got half way through and they wanted too much information i didnt want to give... ive never agreed for a quote from eon because my parents pay the bills!!!! how can you stop them ringing?

Lizzie, i got those calls as well ... i think you should go to http://www.myoffers.co.uk/contact_us.asp write a note for them requesting to remove you from their database.

Calls from this number are fairly frequent and always on my mobile number. When I answer they ask if its me by name then hang up! This is getting so annoying that I am trying to find a way of complaining to the company. It shows it is e-on and whenever I try to ring back it disconnects after 5 seconds. Maybe the Ombudsmen can help?
