I actually reside in the BT(Northern Ireland) postcode area which is why i could save money as there were many engineers gallivanting around my district. I am indeed not in la la land thank you very much i believe that was quite an insulting remark and i certainly do not work for the company!! I would even go as far as saying I would recommend this policy to my friends and family and it certainly seems that you are sucking on sour grapes!!

Have just received a call from Sat Assist. Sounded good insurance and very tempting as it is far cheaper than other insurance for Sky. Thank goodness I saw others comments on this site.

Had this caller last year saying my Sky box cover was about to expire, told them I do not have cover with his company. He then tried to offer me cover but I refused and put phone down. Then it was 3/4 times a week for about a month that this number came up but I would not answer it, now it's starting again I just let it ring.

I had a call earlier on today from a polite young man regarding the sky he proceeded to tell me that the maintenance cover has now been lowered. I must say im delighted to have been set up on the cheaper price and look forward to recieving my paperwork......

Been told that this company are taking over from incumbent provider, which is a lie, then get told they will offer a cheaper service but will not answer questions. Ask to be taken off list and refused. Then get Thomas from customer services continually ringing me to given abuse. Don't go near these bunch of scammers

I've been conned by this company to at a time when I was seriously ill was told that they would send out details of the policy (which I am still waiting for) after a week or so I tried calling them but got no answer so emailed them and asked for a refund but got nowhere so wrote to them recorded delivery so I know they received it but still no reply.
Stay well clear of this company they are a total joke they are getting richer day by day and I'm £120 lighter.

Just recieved a call from sat assist claiming to be able to save me money on my sat insurance, trying to get my card details to set up a new direct debit, when I refused to give any details over the phone lady got very short with me, especially when I mentioned that you don't set up direct debits with a card number.

got £120 off me too, sent a letter to cancel agreement. they say they didn't receive it but said they would refund my money and that it would be in the bank in a couple of days (still not back in my account) asked me to prove who I was in case I was trying to steal from them ha ha!!

Got a call from this company today stating that they could lower my premium to £5.75 per month only to discover that £69 had been taken out of my account. Will look to see if I can get a refund but after having read some of the posts on this site, looks doubtful.

After accepting by mistake a contract by Satassist they without my permission took £120 out or my account causing me to be overdrawn for the first time in 23 yrs I phoned them the day I got the contract and wrote to cancel the contract same day since my first letter I have written another 5 times without a answer.I contacted Lincoln trading standards who couldn't care less, then I contacted my bank because if you didn't read the contract as soon as this one finishes they can take the cash again without you cancelling 7 days before it is due . THIS COMPANY IS USING LANGUIGE TO BEND THE LAW AND COMMIT LEGAL THEFT WARN AS MANY PEOPLE THAT YOU KNOW TO WARN THEM.Contact your bank to make sure their next con is stopped!!!!¬!!!!!!

I was conned by sky assist out of £120 saying indirectly that they were you under a new name !you have looked after me all this time so I agreed to the contract to my cost so Satassist is a very professional con company.

Agree with all above comments. Total scam, rude people. Bamboozle you into thinking they are your digital box insurer but in fact cold callers. I stupidly fell for it but cancelled my card but they still took £120. Waiting for refund if not will be contacting trading standards. DO NOT ENTERTAIN THESE RUDE CLOWNS.

They caught me at a very bad time two guys who are con men got my details had to cancel my card ,can they not be stopped ive had a stroke in the past really dont need the stress of this company,and these are the first conmen to catch me out ever.

@Harold. Say what you want all you unregulated companies are all the same, often provide no engineers, mis-lead, mis-reprisent yourselves as sky, provide no refunds when the customer is fully entitled (within in the statitory rights 14 days cooling off period). Save hassle your money and........

How ignorant. Just had a call from these guys and I have never heard anyone as rude as that before. Maybe a little common courtesy on the phone would be nice. Civility costs nothing.

I just had a very unpleasant rude phone call from some woman on 08452410885. She asked details about my television maintenance contract. How can we stop such calls?

just received all my paperwork as said on the phone call everything seems to be in order cheaper then my last provider all seems to be in order don't know why everyone seems to think its some kind of scam.

This company, SatAssist cold called me and lead me to believe they were Sky protect. they took £120 from my account. After me phoning them, they informed me to return the agreement and a cab
Ncelation letter for a full refund.  this I did several weeks ago and guess what still no REFUND.  I have now informed the the trading standards people.  Take my advice do not listen to this company.

My elderly father was called by this company and they said that he was payming too much for Sky and that they would reduce his costs but needed a card number to process! They gave every impression that they were phoning from Sky. He gave his details but became suspicious and concerned a day later and contacted me. He had already called back Sky and realised it wasn't them. Luckily he cancelled his card so no money was collected. He received a letter through the post and that confirmed the company was actually Satassist and they were collecting £65 for Satellite cover which is not what they said on the phone. Luckily they were unable to collect but it's a shame that so many people are bieng caught out. Thanks to the above posts i have also reported this to the Action Fraud team on 0161 234 9230.

They need to be closed down asap!!!

This company also trades under the name of Stop These Calls also a scam. They got £59.88 from my 80 year old Mother and will not refund the payment even though it has been cancelled within the time allowed under the consumer protection regulations.
