I'm worried people saying this is a scam I've been with them for a few months after taking out my policy just after Christmas called them out twice since then, both times were pleasant visits replaced my remote control and altered my sky dish all for the price of 5.75 a month which was slightly lower than my previous provider as i was paying 12.50 . getting a bit worried why people seem to think this is a scam seems all o.k to me.

A man has just called me saying he was from Sky television and is it correct that I pay £9 per month for Sky Protect.  When I said no, he put the phone down on me when I was trying to ask him questions.

    Mr James Cappleman
After phoning SatAssist again I Was told that I would be repaid in full the £120 but it would take 3 to 5 working days.   I waited 5 working days and guess what Not a penny has been repaid.  It is now almost double that time scale and STILL NOTHING!!!!  They are nothing but a scam and should be avoided unless you enjoy being ripped off,

    Have these people no shame?
They persistently call a number which is on preference for "no calls", yet they do it anyway.
    Repeatedly

Time the law got some teeth on scam spam, by putting the directors and callers in jail.
That would make people think twice before conducting such activities..

William - you must be something of a 'divi'.  Hundreds of people can't be wrong - IT IS A SCAM!

.................and 'Happyclare' too - are she and 'William' employed by Satassist?  Bet they are - I mean why else would two seemingly 'happy' and 'contented' customers be on (consecutively) a website WARNING the general population about the ALMIGHTY SCAM perpetrated by this outfit?  Next stop the small claims court - not that any satisfaction will be gained from a CCJ.

Mr J - did you ever get anywhere with this AHMAD character or, for that matter, the SCAM company - SATASSIST? - I doubt he still lives at the bedsit  house listed in Companys House - woould be nice to know someone trimphed - apart from SATASSIST. (SCAMASSIST?)

My 95 year old mother has received a statement from sat assist for £65. Saying she has set up an account with them. She has no recollection of ever talking to them or giving any bank details to anyone. We constantly warn her about this. As she does not have telephone banking or internet banking cannot easily see if it has been paid or even a direct debit set at this time. Bank not easily reached to find out, another problem with banks. Will try to get refund if Money paid.

My wife answered a cold call from this company today, who knew her name.  The female caller appeared to be surprised when she was told we didn't have Sky, When my wife then said we didn't want Sky, the caller hung up on us.

Exactly the same thing happened to my father yesterday. He believed he was getting his Sky channels at a cheaper rate and gave his credit card details over the phone. I rang the company on my return from work to find it was a 'maintenance' policy - for which he has absolutely no need. He gets his channels through Virgin which are not covered by the company!!!! Apparently they can't refund the money until we've read the paperwork - for equipment we don't even have...... I'm still waiting

Yes I got a call from this number, and he wanted to reduce my sky maintenance bill,he asked who I babied with and he then gave me the first 4 numbers of my credit card, then asked me for the rest, which I refused to give him, he got very unhappy with me and said I will have to keep you on the higher payment, I said OK he then hung up, I think I had a narrow escapr

Well I'm glad I read these messages first, had a call this morning and when I answered they hung up on me, they just called back so I played along with them even though I don't even have Sky, I gave them the first 4 digits of my bank card and when they asked me for the rest of the number my reply was ... why? so you can scam some money from me ...

Didn't really get the reaction I expected as I guess a few people try that but I certainly wasn't going to give out any details, the woman got fed up with me so I got transferred to a manager, I asked him if he was going to pay back money to the pensioners they have scammed in the past, he claimed it's a reputable company so I told him to google the phone number he just called me from, he ignored my questions about TPS so will report them to TPS next, he was fairly articulate and just kept saying they were a reputable company, when I told him I didn't even have Sky he just said I have too much time on my hands and hung up ... ho ho ho

Wasted their time as I do with all these scammers that call me as time wasted means less innocent people scammed ...

I had a call today, claiming or at least inferring they are from Sky protect, they had my full name, postal address, bank & first 4 digits of my card, they are very good con artists, I was taken In until I had given partially my bank card number, I changed the last few details as a precaution, so glad I did because they can't take any money, I asked three times if they were my current provider but got no clear answer & what he did say was so quick I could not register fully what he was saying. I reported to Trading Standards & Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040. I phoned Sat Assist back to say how unhappy I was but the guy who answered claims I was at fault & I was repeatedly told they were Sat Assist offering me a new account - total rubbish as many others on here have experienced the same, why is it after we report the company ey are still scamming us many months after!!!

Conned my elderly, ill mother into giving debit card details for sky dish maintenance contract. She does not and never has had a sky dish & told the sales person so, but he was so insistent, she ended up giving him her debit card detailsin panic. I rang back immediately & told them to cancel it immediately. Remains to be seen if they honour this.
