Got one also 08452639001 12.55pm 28/7/10 also tps registered no one speakes voices in background two beeps on the keys then hang up what a wast of time.

I got a call from this lot too, i think it is an auto dialler calling many telephone numbers and then when all the lines and they dont have enough operators to pick up all the live lines thats why you hear noises in the background as it is connecting to a line no on is at

my advice is ignore if you answer they know its a live line and cue the many phone calls even when you politely *ahem* tell them you are not interested

Got yet another call today and as i was expecting a private call i answered and caller asked for homeowner - politely told the girl to get my details removed from the database as i am on TPS and was advise that would not be a problem, did 1471 and it advised it is Weatherseal, which as it happens have an outbound contact centre close to me - any more calls and i may have to pay a visit and tell them if they call again i will be back to sort it out.

Its simple how it works they have a dialler that calls up numbers suh as 01159 000001 up to 01159 999999 and then starts a new code such as 0121 000001 to 0121 999999 you get the idea if the machine gets a beep its a fax and removed if its dead its removed if it rings however bingo you in the list for a phone call and yourmber will be addad to a list for sale to other companies who dont thave the dials as they are ment to be against the law hope this helps on how they got your number.

They've just called me, asking who I was...        I asked who THEY were, the girl told me they were Weathershield.  I told them I was registered with TPS, she said she had to get her supervisor to speak to me as they are not authorised to remove my phone number from their system.  The supervisor kept asking for my name and address "in order to remove your details".  I pointed out that if they don't know my details, they can't possibly need them to remove them - all they need to do is take my ex-dir. number off their system.  They just hung up.  Very noisy background, got a very definite impression they were phishing.

This caller is persistent - every day for the last week.
I never answer it.

This number keeps phoning me and when I answer they hang up! It is very frustrating! I also have TPS but this seems to make no difference!

Just got silence when I answered so I hung up.
If noone speaks immediately then it's an automated dialler - you're only connected to an actual person if you answer the phone.
Pain in the neck though!

As with some others, she asked to speak to the homeowner and as soon as I asked who was calling, they hung up. I am TPS registered.

Just been called from this number.  Answered it and they hung up.  Called back and got a machine saying its WEATHERSEAL WINDOWS.

I picked up and a man was laughing and said so you hate her then and more laughing someone said something in the background. I said Hello about 3 times was ignored. so i hung up

roof coating is what they said to me and id been selected to have it done free lol,,,and then asked what type of house do you have lol ,,i hung up omg oh and called me miss ha! ha! jokers!!!!!!!!!

called again from this number, only this time it's an actual voice, scottish, stating local company advertising locally and wanted to know know what type of property i live in, told her none of your business and she rang off. i've rang these people back before to stop them ringing again, obviously a waste of time, love to know where they are, as i'm in scotland and could pay them a visit

These people are very dangerous, do not ever give your personal details to them you will very much regret it, just tell them you dont ever do surveys or buy anything over the phone. They are breaking the law by cold calling.

For those of you receiving calls from 08452639001 it is Weatherseal.

What to do is call this number its free 0800 041 041. It will put you through to Weatherseal just do what I did and tell them to take your number off their system be irate but don't swear and curse. The woman I spoke to said it had nothing to do with them even though she had the ability to take my number off the system!! and told me "it's nice to be nice" presumably not enjoying my abrupt attack in a fairy raised voice, I told her "yes it is, so stop the company you work for hanging up on me when I've been courteous enough to pick up the phone to answer the call that they made!". STUPID COW aarrghh

Anyway they'll get the message if they get enough calls to make their phone lines busy with no business involved.......I might even phone them again just to make sure they have removed my number.......in fact I might check once or twice a month. I won't even hang up on them........well maybe once or twice.

p.s. use the 141 facility to hide your number from them if you just want to keep hanging up on them.......it's free anyway so time to return their calls I think.
