- SHEILA| 2 repliesHad a couple of calls from this number and not happy at all.
They ask am i speaking to the homeowner and when i say yes they then ask if i go to southend high street at all.
I then stop them in their tracks and say i dont want calls of this nature and they hang up.
Called this number back and a recorded message says you have been called from a call commander network dialler and i am also ex-directory and registered with tps.
The call then goes on to say if you do not wish to be on their list please after the tone leave your number.
I tried 4 or 5 times and each time the message says there was a delay so i gave up.
I also asked the 1st time they rang how they got my number and they said from the national database.
How on earth can they do this when you are ex-directory? - DFThe phone just rung (at 19:10 hrs on a Friday evening) like you guys all I got was a beep or two and then they hung up on me. I'm ex dir and on the TPS. So what's this company playing at? My guess is they are on some kind of automated dialler or something, that is dialling TPS and ex dir folk when it shouldn't be, and the operators are having to terminate calls when they realise / notice on the screen that they should not be calling. Probably some sales company with such a low budget they can't sort out their systems. Shut em down I say!
- s. tompkinsJust had call from above number I'm ex dir. they asked to speak to property owner and asked if i knew where london rd was, as they were opening a shop up near meesons lane. and were phoneing people in the area to ask what they think they should put in window. i asked where they got my tel number from. he said uk tube or something like that. i told him i was ex dir with that he put phone down. i rang number and got anwering machine
- RiversVery similar, had a call from this number, when they asked if i was the homeowner, she asked if they were avalaible. I asked if this was a sales call, and she hung up...
I dont care how much that stuck up slag is getting paid per hour, no-one should have the right to do that and if that is the temprement of the staff, they should be sacked! - KPAlso had the same calls, sounds like lots of people in the background, then two beeps and hangs up. No speaking as of yet, but happened yesterday morning, (Mon 21st) and this evening (Tues 22nd)
Am both ex-directory and TPS, not sure how they are geting through, or got the number? - KPHave been on other sites and would advise not calling back...this is probably their main aim, as it is a premium rate phone number and they get money from you calling them back.
- GBThey called tonight and asked if they were speaking to the home owner which I confirmed they were. then went on to say they were opening a DIY store and named a road very close to where I live which concerned me. I asked where they had got my number as I am ex-directory and have TPS. They said they got it from a BT database. I told them not to call again. Then made various calls to BT as I was not happy if they were giving my number out. They said they would not have done and suggest I register with silent caller by ringing 0870 444 3969 and not to answer these calls again. BT did say these companies use computers to generate numbers.
- AARegistered with TPS for many years. As above, talking in background and as i spoke got a bleep and they hung up. Called back and recorded message said that it was a call from the call commander network.
- Caller: Call commander network
- AASame number again but on my other line only 1 hour apart.
- Caller: Call commander network
- RobAs most of the comments they ask if you are the property owner, and then start with the "we are opening a shop"etc. We have asked nicely we have been in touch with their head office but they still ring on a regular basis. I am going to make an appt, when their rep arrives (who will def be self employed) I will then say that every time they ring I will let them make an appt so I can waste their time, as they do not take any notice from us,even though we are registered with TPS and are ex directory.
- Caller: Supreme O Glaze
- P.2 Beeps + noise in the background - then hung up.
I am on TPS - PaulThey called and asked to speak to the property owner. I said the property owner was unavailable and they said they would call back later. I told them not to bother.
I recognised the girls voice from a previous call who said that she was thinking of opening a double glazing shop in Basildon and wanted to do market research first to ensure it was worth it.
I explained that I am TPS registered and she said that she had checked and not found that to be the case but would contact them and make sure that I was registered and ensure that I would not be bothered again.- Caller: Did not get that far.
