Well going by my past experiences of getting a good deal when the person wants something then they go and look for it cheaper NOT sitting waiting on cold callers phoning me telling me i need new windows and what cracking nasa tech they use now . or how many minutes i could save on a mobile phone deal . This is 2012 hopefully in the next 5 years this sort of calling is banned this isnt 1985 when phoning someone up to sell them something they dont need, want or afford.It possibly was the way to advertise i.e Most people didnt have mobiles , internet and only had to  2 channels for companys to advertise on and local papers . How may tv  channels now advertise? How many emails? Txt messages? Mail drops? Radio adverts? and not forgetting websites where these companys have the information but still insist on employing people to phone you up and try and sell something . My 3 tips 1  ask STRAIGHT AWAY  that your details are REMOVED
     2  NEVER AGREE TO ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE ALWAYS WRITING
     3 Be polite and tell them you will see the website ,at this point cold caller will say this deal isnt online to which i have the standard response: if your online department and phone sales are different prices then someone must miss out so will go to a company that does (been done to vodafone, virgin media , sky quite a few)

IGNORE ALL CALL CENTERS IF IT  IS THAT IMPORTANT SURELY THEY WILL SEND YOU A LETTER OR VISIT YOU TO GIVE YOUR FREE HOLIDAY

you get to waste some of there time not just a answering machine . just done that to remove my number. And to inform them that because of the cold calling that at least 6 of my  workmates will never use weatherseal and they will pass that information to family and  friends

good one for the Phonejacker app on my phone this one managed to keep abdul on the phone for half an hour

Arrogant cold calling pests trying to sell something. They need to be investigated for blatantly ignoring systems set up to stop cold callering. Disgraceful people.

Already complained to the ICO about Weatherseal to no avail

I am getting really irritated by this crowd...that's their calls started again after a 3 month break.

Was called by 08452639001 at 23.00 hrs last night. When the phone was answered there was no body there.  The call woke the household.

This company keeps on and on and on and on and on and on and on .... calling.

They have been calling for YEARS!

The UK government and European Parliament should stop this practice.

keeps calling and hang up as soon as I answer.Becoming a pain

4th or fifth call from this mumbler number they just hang up now

This company have phoned me five times today and all within half an hour. Able to c number on phone so do not pick up and I am ex-directory. Pain in the ****.

Only rang three times then hung up. I subscribe to telephone preference service and should not be blind called.

Was called this morning at 11.20am and when i said hello the female voice told me to "shut up", i said hello again, thinking perhaps she was speaking to someone in the background, but again was told to "shut up", i put the phone down.

Keep getting these calls - we live in a council house thus have no need for new windows/home improvements and also registered with TPS for years and still get calls!

These people need to stop calling me! they call, i answer, they hang up! WTF is that all about!

Silent call late at night, it/s from weatherseal......who want's to talk about double glazing at 8.30 pm on fridayn ight, personnallyI think these people should have the telephone lines taken off them

Called announcing they were from Weatherseal. Informed them as this was a marketing call and I am TPS registered the call would shortly be terminated after they confirmed my details would be removed from their database.
Caller assured this would be done but was insistent I speak to their Supervisor as there was an error in their phone systems.
Replied I was sorry for their system failings and as such would report the call to TPS.
Hung up as caller was still wanting me to talk to their supervisor.
To do so would indicate I was willing to accept their call.

Had a call from them, noisy background but clear Scottish accent, conversation went more or less:

Hi I'm calling on behalf of a local company. I'd like you to answer a survey.

Is your house a semi, a detatched or a bungalow.

(Yes, they leapt right into the questions without even waiting for the person to say anything)

Sorry, I'm not interested in taking the survey - goodbye.


Exact words, think I'd say that was polite so didn't expect the person put on a very stupid voice and reply:

"oooookkkayyyy nnnnnooooo proobbbllemmmmm gooodddbyyyee"
(yes they really then spoke like that),

Other calls we've had about local companies, those that will tell you the company if asked, don't even operate where we live, so it's useless information they're gathering anyway.

Phonecall today 11.47am.  Background noise until I hung up.
