I have also received calls from this number several times. It could be more, I don't usually check who called. The most recent call happened today. I was in the house but wasn't feeling too good. The phone rang but I couldn't answer it because my voice had gone. Normally companies like this ring until the answering message is finished and then they hang up immediately, like some sort of automated service (and they also withhold their number). But this company does not do any of these things. I want to know who they are, what they want, and how I can stop them from calling me.

They called - we have TPS - no details given when we asked who they were, they just hung up

Had a call from this number 11:45 Sun 4/9/11.

Caller ID showed the number so I didn't answer the call.

But, judging from the apparently complete lack of 'Service' provided by that be-knighted quango on JUST this single caller, I'm questioning if the TPS is not, itself, a complete con, taking, as it does, public money for doing nothing at all?

The only 0845 numbers that might call me belong to the NHS, but they wouldn't call on a Sunday.

Have had several calls from this number, in the past 4 months, and have told them several times to remove my number from their nuisance calls list.   This one was at 11.27am today and no one spoke when I answered.  We are XD and registered with TPS but this seems to be a useless solution to the problem.   Weatherseal must be losing a helluva lot of interest in their products because of their selling methods.   I'm sure people, who may have been considering using them, must have changed their minds.  Don't know if "Nuisance Calls" such as these are a matter for the Police but, as far as I'm concerned, they should be.  The callers are very persistent and rude and should really be sent to stand in ta corner wearing dunces caps.

WEATHERSEAL -  and we'd all like to know how to stop them.  My suggestion - No One Should Buy Their Products and Put Them Out Of Business !!!   It worked with NOTW !!!

The number 08452639001 belongs to weatherseal double glazing (Extorionate prices) hard sell, use the american selling circle to badger people into buying products lots of underhand tactics reported on various sites

I have started getting calls from this number after I barred a very similar one.  It's the same thing with an '0142' number.  I barred it, but then started getting calls from a similar one.  Calls are usually silent and they hang up.  I'm with TPS.

When I get unwanted calls, I swear like a trooper at the caller. have a very loud voice and some get really offended!!!!!  I really enjoy it, but I get offended when its a hang up, like the 08452639001 call today.  Hope they phone back and try to speak to me.

Yep got this call from Weatherseal asking for property owner and when asked whose calling the started making kissing sounds so hung up. We are xdirectory and TPS too.  These companies dont present themselves well so why would u use them?

Got a hang-up call tonight - been getting one every night for the past week. Did 1471 and this was the number.

TPS do not protect against silent calls - it says this on their website, however you can register with SilentCallGuard to filter out these automated calls in the same way.  You need to re-register for this every 12 months though, unlike TPS.

Another call today from weatherseal asking if they were speaking to mr ******.   Unfortunately they didn't pronoiunce my name correctly, which is never a good start.   The lady said she represented a local company and was doing a survey.   I asked which company and, when she replied, I pointed out that I have had umpteen calls from them in the last few weeks, most being silent.  I advised her that I had already told those who have spoken to remove my number from their call list and not call again.  I also advised her that any future calls would be reported to the police etc as nuisance calls.   She said she would see my request attended to right away and apologised.   The outcome remains to be seen !!!   I will keep my promise to her..

Same thing today ie hung up after four rings. In addition I've actually had them come to the door twice in the past three weeks ( near Perth, Scotland ). I'm on TPS. This is going to stop. I can't be bothered to say 'no, thanks' politely anymore.

Scumbags are at it again cold calling even though I'am ex d and also TPS reg noise in background laughing etc. did not seem bothered when I mentioned I was ex d and TPS reg.

this number has phoned me 4 times today but when i pick up theres nothing on the other end!!?? im in aberdeenshire.

0845 2639001 - Weatherseal double glazing telesales.
I've had about 10 calls from this number over the last fortnight, many in the evening, despite being ex directory and TPS registered.  Caller said she was phoning from 'St. Andrews Home Improvements - a new local company, '. Did an internet search but could find no such company. Suspect it's Weatherseal masquerading as another contractor. With over 100 reports against 0845 2639001 on this website alone, why does the TPS not take action against such persistent offenders?

Called my parents - who are in their 80's - to say they qualify for double glazing.  My dad said he wasn't interested and they asked him name for future reference.  When my dad said that they called him so they must have his name, they said well ok, but could you spell it for us.  My dad told them not to call again and they hung up.  The accent the man had was a Scottish east coast accent.

I picked up and it was a dialling noise.
I'm TPS registered.

Called this morning. English accent, laughing in background. I introduced myself as 'Brian here' as usual. He asked if this was a business number and I asked him ' why do you want to know'.
He hung up. We are ex dir and TPS but it makes no difference.

That said the majority of those who call are obviously calling over IP from India and claiming to be from Microsoft but actually trying to take over my computer. I swear at those a lot, it makes me feel better.
