Its when someone sends you a text to your landland at you are not with BT, don't think its anything to worry about.

We had a call last night just before midnight. The call rang off before my wife answered and we did 1471 to get the number. Needless to say I checked here before I did anything else. Now I know it's a scam I won't be ringing back.

BT Message Centre. If somebody sends a text message to a house phone sometimes you get an electronic voice telling you what the message is.

We Have been called by this number constantly over the last week,
Even at 10.30pm!!
I have elderley parents and their health is not great! getting phone calls this late at night is no laughing matter.
To present when we have seen the number We put the phone on silent, I f you see this number on your phone before answering do not answer.
The same number just called me again while I am posting this message claim they are a BT Message service? Then you get a Woman with a promiscuous message. !!!!!! BRITISH TELECOM SORT THIS OUT NOW!!!!!!
I Do Not Want my child or any other persons child to be exposed to this.

This no. has been calling me at least twice every day for about 10 days now.  The number just goes dead when I pick up the phone so now I  ignore it..    I've enough distractions when I try to study without this and it's unbelievably annoying.

I've had 8 calls from this number today, increasing from 2-3 for the last fortnight or so.   Today they must have accidentally recorded a message, which I got from 1571.    A robotic voice said 'I hadn't pressed the right button, so would I repeat my answer to -  'Would you say that you and your family have become more, or less, aware of energy consumption in your home?  Press 1 for Yes, and 2 for No.'

I have had 6 missed calls from this number today and yet I am on the TPS service???

When someone sends you a message to your BT landline number, it comes to you through this BT automated service number

Kosher number... it is a bt number.. a friend of mine lost my mobile number and texted on my home number .. pressed 1 and a voice repeated the message...quite a good thing really.

Got calls from this number 0845602111 six times in the last hour. Saaad!

I sent myself a message from my mobile as a reminder when I had no paper or pen to write with.  This number called me back over and over again until I finally answered it.  It is a BT SMS message and you have the option to listen to the message, save it or delete it.  If you press 3 for delete you will not be called again!

We have a private number and don't give our details to anyone we don't know or trust So how come we are getting annoying calls from this number asking us to return the call.......... I don't think so

0845 602 111: This is the BT SMS message service. In my case they were sending me an automated message to confirm an engineer's appointment. They ask you to press numbers, but if you are wary of doing that, just hold on and the voice message will be relayed to you automatically.

ps. Additional info: Anybody who sends a txt message to your landline will come through on this number, so as well as official messages from BT it could also be unscrupulous marketeers. As mentioned in my post above, you do not need to do anything to hear the SMS message as it will play automatically at the end of the BT blurb. However, if the SMS message contains any questions that require you to press buttons or call another number I would seriously recommend that you ignore it.

This person called and asked to press different numbers they said they were from BT giving a mobile number

Recieving these calls late at night I just bared the numbers

Sunday night and I have now had 6 calls from this number!

Ive just received this call at 7pm, and didnt answer. My phone and net is with TalkTalk. Another foreign survey and/or scam. zZz. I no longer answer calls that I dont recognise or in this case 'unknown' ie hidden. If its important, they can leave a message

When the phone rings and shows this number I don't answer it so why do they call back again and again?
