gt a call a few mins ago.. din answer as usual.. these silly people can call as many times they want.. but im a rigid wall too, hard to break into it. lol

Called at 08.23. No one spoke, then they hung up. Looked it up. Think it is Birmingham Midshires. Is this harrassment??

Just had a call from this number at 17.30 today. I left it ringing as all people eventually call my mobile if it's important. 1471 gave me 08456029441. No message left.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Halifax. I might call the number from a call box and play stupid. Always makes life more fun..............

having between 5 and 10 calls from this number per day. ranging from 8am to 10pm.
If it is halifax then they shouldn't be calling my family number - they were never given my private number. our halifax account being dealt with by debt management too - so shouldn't be getting the calls on that count either - will ignore the swines.
Have told my management company to tell them to back off and deal with them only.

they have been phoning my parents asking for me and when told I dont live their they put the phone down. My accounts with halifax went dormant 15 years ago and the halifax banking customer service states that nothing can be done with the accounts even if the bank wants to. He also did a search for the number and stated that it does not show in their system so treat the phone calls as suspicous.

Ok I have posted my dealings with these unscrupulous lot in Feb see above and as far as I am aware they are linked with Halifax debt collection. So if you have no debt and they still call you just get choose to refuse via your telephone if landline and block them calling.  Mobile different, change sim card much easier as you cant block on mobiles, well I couldnt but might be different on some service providers, check it out.

This number calls me everyday asking to speak to someone who has never to my knowledge lived at our address I have asked them to take our number off our list but they continue to call every day sometimes more than once.

Another call today, makes that 6 times this week so far, Contacted BOS head office and actually got a ref number about the complaint.  They are investigating as they dont seem to be able to know what it is!!

Possible fraud - Who knows!!

started to get loads of calls from this no. all week and weekend, asking for a simon wider, but no one with that name lives her, told them this loads of times, ive only had this no. for about a year, so may have been his before, absolutely sick and tired of this.

I have received over 30 calls in just over a week from 08456 029441 on my mobile(started out of the blue on Friday 6th March). At least 6 calls today. No message left and if I do answer there is just silence and the caller rings off. I do not deal with any of the businesses mentioned in previous posts. I am registered with telephone preference service, have rung my mobile provider - can't help. Anybody successfully stopped this harrassment?

How did they get my number in the first place

This number calls my office number! i can't see the number that calls me so I have to answer and say the name of the company(which is long!) and my name then they just hang up! Waste of my time! They like 4 times a day!

It's defo Halifax ringing me.. I have 4 different numbers they ring me on.. Total pain in the [***], I used to answer but the person they wanted does not live here so they hang up.. I have now give the phone numbers there own ring tone, so now I don't even have to get up to look at the caller ID I know it's them [***] by the ring tone, I sit and laugh while I am sat having a nice coffee them idiots are ringing wot a f-ing waste of time.. Its Birmingham Midshires. I do have a mortage thats not in arrears, so it might just be a sales call but as they dont leave any message I cant be sure! Its  possible that they might be trying to attempt to get customers to make overpayments while interest rates are low. In this time of financial crisis, I will let you all read into that what you will!

Got the call too, on a Monday afternoon. Lady asked for a gentleman who's name I did not know, then apologised for the call.

I have no idea who this number is but it has been calling me constantly for about 2-3 weeks. Everyday about 5 times a day. Never leaves a message is being a pain. Anyone know if there is a regulator I can contact to stop this number calling.
You would have thought they know that people dont answer 0845 numbers. (Well I dont)
