Ah so they've changed the number have they!! Oh well I'll keep ignoring this one now!!  The last time I got called I answered by mistake and got one of the most obnoxious little pr**ks I've ever spoken to.

I get calls from this number constantly, even at 8.10 on a Sunday morning.  I don't bank with Bank of Scotland or Halifax and do not owe any money to either.  Have managed to get them blocked by BT on Chose to Refuse but suddenly they have started calling my mobile!  If anyone has details of where to write and complain, these would be greatly appreciated.

I have just called Bank of Scotland complaints (08457 25 35 19) and spoken to rep there who was extremely helpful re my complaint about this no. calling.  He is going to personally look into it and get back to me - we shall wait and see!!  So, if you know you don't owe Bank of Scotland/Halifax any money, then it would be worth calling BoS complaints dept.

This number has pestered me continuously on my mobile and never leaves a message either. Finally stopped them calling my mobile by installing call filtering software. Call is bounced without even ringing so they can't annoy me anymore. Do a search for Easy Reject phone software, works on my N95 so imagine most up to date mobiles will be able to use it. Hope folk find this useful.

Never banked with HBOS and never will as it appears they cant organise a piss up in a brewery and need our money to keep them afloat! Useless bunch of total BANKERS! I even get these calls and I have gone on the cold call barring service... Must be run by the same useless bosses that run HBOS

Theyve been phoning me all day today, twice at about 8 o'clock this morning and again at 8 tonight. Managed to find this website which is sooo useful! And now I know its Halifax i'm deffinately not answering. I have a mortgage and home insurance with them and the last time I answered the phone to them they tried selling me another mortgage! Took me about 5 minutes to convince them I already have a mortgage with them.

It's Halifax Bank, they are trying to call to discuss the credit crunch and what they can do to help!

I've just signed up for BT choose to refuse.  This company is driving me mad.  I don't even bank with Halifax or RBS, yet I'm subjected to calls at all hours.

I'm getting these calls ALL THE FLIPPIN'TIME - I know its halifax and they are complete and utter b*****ds!  I'm on a debt management plan with the CCCS but they tend to ignore all the correspondence I have sent them - best answer is to IGNORE THEM!!!

Got my first call of the afternoon - how many more - this is beyond a joke!!!!

They have called 3 times a day for over a week now - they say they are British Gas

i have no idea who this is, i never answer the phone in my house so when a family member answers the caller asks for me and then theres never anybody there when i get to the phone. iv read other people reports and afew people say its halifax but i have no business with them what so ever. They have been ringing every morning between 800AM and 810AM and on sunday at 9AM for 2weeks not missing a single day. i wish they would F*** off

Yes it is Halifax colections. I would advice not to answer to this number, I did three times and recived £30 bill from them to pay. Ye it's £10 per call!!!

This is also Birmingham Midshires' number!

I've had calls for three weeks now, and am getting pretty chessed off.
The calls are becoming increasingly aggressive.
I am registered with the TPS (land line and mobile), but this makes no difference. I have complained to the TPS and Ofcom, but the calls keep on coming.
These people claim to be from the Halifax, (and I used to have accounts with them) but I called Halifax Customer relations (08457 25 35 19)who were very helpful. The people calling are First Assist, and they gave me the number 02087 63 33 33 to call.

Had another call last night. They got very hassled and put the phone down when I told them I new who they were. Said they 'were going to put it in writing' Bring it on tw*ts!!!!

Do your homework, ring the Halifax (or wherever these jokers say they are from) get your facts straight. When they ring back, GIVE THEM SOME HEAT.
