This one has started calling starting at 0830 on a Sunday morning!  Phone was answered, but the line was so noisy, we could not hear who it was.  Phone was put down.  Happened a few times now.

I been getting missed calls from this number too, oddly enough, they only call me early on a Sunday morning too. They never leave a message so don't get a call back.

I've just received 3 calls from this number - the first one was at 9am.  They've also called me twice on my mobile.  I don't tend to answer the phone unless I know the number. No messages left either.

I've just had a call from them too - no messages left either.

Called a further three times, got caller ID so only answer calls from family and friends. Searched their number on Google but didn't nothing came up for them.

I have no intention of calling them back unless they leave a message to let me know who they are and their reason for calling.

Probably someone trying to sell something.

Just had a call from this number too - at 08:10am in the morning???!!!!  Would love to find out who they are so I can complain!

Bank of Scotland or Halifax - and take it they're selling?

It's Halifax/Bank of Scotland. Usually relating to late/missed credit card payments.

It is Halifax and they are breaking the law by phoning you on Sundays.

Ive had this number and another 1 - 08708503492- ring me. I looked up on the other number and it said it waz Halifax/Bank of Scotland too. On the other number people said they started to abuse them and call them all sorts. Im not even banking with Halifax either.

They are the Halifax. They call my husband ALL the time at stupid O' clock but there line is sooo quiet that he can never hear, or they just hang up... Odd

I'm familiar with their other number 08708503492 - didn't realise they had changed numbers.  The 0870 number stopped calling me and immediately this 0845 number rang me out of the blue yesterday, several times.

They frequently call me at stupid times - they are well known for it.

I am being hounded by calls from this No.08456029441 and when i do answer the calls it goes quite and the calls are dropped. This needs to be stopped as it`s becoming a nusiance on my own path. I am going to make this a personel issue with whoever that is involved in making these anonymous and stupid calls.ITS invasion of privacy.

I got a call from this number, said they were Birmingham midshires building society.

Just got a call and no-one on the other end, phone call ended.

They hang up because they want you to call back, the number has a huge tarriff and the bumbling idiots at the other end are slow and put you on hold and stuff to make more money off you.
They can never resolve a late payment issue with you any way, speak straight to the Bank or Credit card number on your bill.
Ignore these calls they are useless.
Halifax kbnow about these companies and are fully aware of how often they call and how they put the phone down on you so you call the huge priced phone number back.
Essentieally they are trying to make more money off people in debt with them.

I've dealt with a few banks, both for personal and business purposes, out of all the banks Halifax have to be the worst for customer service.

I'm just researching this number cos I was called today and this forum has been really useful, thanks everyone. I had a loan payment bounced from a Halifax account last month to a Bank of Scotland loan account, that'll be what its about.
