Now getting calls from these. Called them back about 3.00am in the morning from work. Answerphone said it was the Royal bank of Scotland and its subsideries.

Was in the shower this morning at 8:30 and missed this call so 1471 the number and googled it and found this site and saw it was Halifax, we have also just started of a debt management program so they should not be calling us they should be calling my finance company, how ever they called again an hour later and asked for my wife, I said she was at work and would not be home until 7pm but any queries they have can come through me, they refused and put the phone down, an hour later got another call asking for my wife, explained again she was at work and the bloke slammed the phone down, 10 min ago got another call asking for my wife so I went in to one and asked if they were all thick as [***] and why they were calling this number, he slammed the phone down so will see if anyone calls back ?

have had a lots of calls from this number as well sometimes up 2 9 a day again lots of missed calls and no message have sine found out that its one of the several partners belonging to the bank of scotland. i complained and they said that it was a automatic sytem and the computer calls.

This number 08456029441 has been calling me for MONTHS. Calls can start as early as 7am and go on until late at night. They've called EVERY day of the week, sometimes as close together as 10 seconds apart.

I've answered their cal way too often to count, and ech time they ask for some woman or other. Each time I've calmly explained that I don't know who they are on about, and that my number has NEVER belonged to anyone other than me.

It's damed annoying. Sometimes they hang up wothin seconds; other times they hang up as soon as I get to: Who? I don't know her...

Other times they listen, as I ask them to please take my number of their list. At that point, they either hang up witrhout a word; or promise to remove my number immidiately.

And you're right. They ring again, generaly within 1/2 an hour.

Luckily, my phone is a MDA, so I'm going to see about downloading that firewall program and block them from ringing me ever again.

WHat I don't understand is, my number isn't even registered. It's a recent replacement (funnily enough because of the same reason) and I haven't even got around to registering it yet.

What really amazed me was, moments after fitting the NEW sim into my phone, I got the first damned call.

Surely this kind of harassment is illeagal? Something should be domne to punish the company responsible.

Just answered a call from this number saying they're the Halifax. Asked for me by name then wanted me to tell them my year of birth and postcode. I said I'm not prepared to give these details over the phone to a caller who could be anyone. The guy starts getting stroppy saying what could he do with this info anyway! He said they will keep calling back. I will just ignore the calls in future.

My elderly mother was unfortunate enough to answer the telephone at my home on Sunday 14th December at 12.28pm and she was frightened by the  voice on the other end. When she delayed her reply and told them she wasn't me, the caller put the phone down without explanation. She was very nervous and thought someone was checking to see whether the house was empty. She locked herself in the bathroom until I returned home 2 hours later. Not a nice experience for an old lady.

Again yet another call from this flippin' number.  This is getting beyond ridiculous. Luckily they haven't got my home number and I don't have a signal when I get home & at work it has to be on silent HAH!  Seriously thinking of getting my number changed though

These people are calling me day and night ive answered twice and they try to sell me accident insurance, i have told them no thanks ive got it with my life insurance they can become very abusive i hang up. now i have caller display i can see the numbers if its 08s i just dont answer.

up to 10 times a day for last 3 months!!!!  we have resorted to putting phone to mute and missing REALLY IMPORTANT CALLS.

I also keep getting calls from this number. I get so many cold calls I bought an answering machine. Anyone i know, I will pick up when they start leaving a message. If its these B's, they do not leave a message. I do 1471 in case its important, at no cost. But this number rings, as others have said, at really annoying times of the day. I have no dealings with the Halifax, but will be closing my account with Royal Bank of Scotland.

ive just started receiving calls again. mainly in the afternoon and evening, dont answer because im in work.
Im over an overdraft with halifax though so i imagine its them.
wonder how long until they give up? lol

yup this is halifax, i owe them some money on my visa. they keep calling and when i do answer it either hangs up or i get through to some foreign person. i just ignore them now. i mite answer the next one and abuse them as steve m says they arent recorded, itll keep me amused anyway. haha

Lef tphone at work and had 26 missed calls from this number, googled it and found this site, then the phone rang and surprise it was that number said they were AA Finance - have a loan with them which is slightly n arrears but due to finish in Feb anyway...so just said wrong number.  But 26 Calls over Saturday and Sunday is silly.....

Phoned number back and said it was the Royal Bank of Scotland and its partners had tried to phone me with a long list of companies .........

Just had 'another' call from them, told them again that the person they asked for didnt live here, so I contacted HBOS themselves and put a complaint in!

Im not even a customer of that bank.

i keep on getting these phone calls of this number but never answer i have no outstanding bills but they keep on trying to ring me if u ever get a phone call off this number don't answer its just a waste of time, effort and money
