I see from above that it's <insert string of expletives> HSBC.
We have told them umpteen times over the past 10+ years that we DO NOT accept cold calls from any bank.
Nevermind, had a caller half an hour ago, wanting to speak to my wife.
I asked the woman who she was, "It's the bank", she said. Our branch is 100 yards away all the staff know us, it's certainly was none of them.
Told her my wife was out and put the phone down.

Called me on my mobile in Channel Islands.  Hung up as soon as I answered.  Might be Phishing for something.

sick of this number ringing me. i dont answer strange numbers. looks like its "hsbc" from this. i do not even bank with them

hello. work for hsbc and cold calling is a big part of our sales. we try and bully people into signing up for premium accounts or even just attending local branches to meet targets. if someone hangs up on us we put their number on a 'get list' and ring them and hang up back. haha!

Fishy, I would never give my security details to somebody who rang me.

Missed 4 calls dinnertime one after the other and 3 previous day. I have phoned the number back to hear a message saying that i dont need to get in touch with HSBC because it's been dealt with. well why phone 4 times in a row and 3 times yesterday if there is no problem! And why didn't they leave a message! Very Strange!

you guys are being all [***], it is one of the official HSBC numbers, they only call you when you have made some arrangements with them, i.e. if you need to be contacted about something important.

Just had a call from the Branch Mgr from my local HSBC and he was asking me for my personal details. I didn't give him them and said I didn't like cold calls. He said it was regarding a matter I was interested in but refused to tell me what it was until I verified who I was! That sounded more fishy.
Told him I would visit the Branch in person and wasn't prepared to give details out to an unknown number.

Do not beleive some of the scammers commenting here. The phone number 08456032821 is a scam. I'm now in the way reporting this number to police and my phone company.

I'm suspecting it's an 0845 scam-it's a premium rate number?

YEAH WOULD JUST LIKE TO CONFIRM THAT THIS NUMBER IS DEFINITELY HSBC. I ORDERED SOME STATEMENTS AND THEY JUST CALLED TO LET ME KNOW THEY WERE READY.
