This caller may be a scanner. "Larry" talks you through several Telstra plans. When he goes to organise the delivery of your new mobile phone etc, he tries to elicit licence details, cedit cards details etc. His tel no is from WA but he claims that he is ringing from my town on the east coast.

They're a Mobile Phone Telemarketing Company - they say they're Telstra but I don't think they are. They ring you a few times without saying anything to get your name, then ring you back on another day so they can say "Hey Mike, how ya going" like they're old mates or something... God I hate telemarketers! When I rule the world, they'll all be burned at the stake...

this number has been ringing me for weeks on end. never leave a message. its annoying to say the least

it's not a telstra person, possibility a business partner, tried to offer a phone service

the woman on the other end sounded like she was higher than a kite

I get a 'missed call' message everyday from this number when i connect to my Next G wireless broadband.

I don't even have a phone linked to the account just the mobile number for internet service. They can call all they want, i can't answer :)

This number calls me every work day during work hours! pisses me off so much! good to know what it is now tho-stupid telstra.

Recieving at least 2 calls per day from this number. They don't leave a message, so am i safe to presume telemarketing yet again????

The people behind this number are committing an offence against the Commonwealth Spam Act.
The should be prosecuted...

I just got one too and googled the number and was v. surprised to find this site!
Have now saved the nu,ber on my phone as "telecom scam" so I won't answer in future. How dodgy!

I just got a call - and added it to my "do not pick up" phone contacts. What worries me - is how they get these phone numbers - i.e. is Telstra giving out our numbers considering this is the 2nd time I've had these phonecalls (different company)... all since I signed up with Telstra about 3 months ago. 10 years w/ Optus and never had to deal with anything like this???

I just got a phone bill from telstra, that they forgot to send me in sept, but this is my fault even though i rang to ask why i hadnt got one yet. when i looked thou the bill to see why it was so expensive i found this number that i had been charged for ringing for 20mins. not happy with teltra.

i think it is s scam because they didnt call me by my name and they got all of my account details mucked up - but they did say - 'just check it on the net' so maybe it is just a third party doing telstras work

Fed up with going to answer call but caller hangs up. Just trying to justify their job by recording a call to my number. Fed up with these telemarketers.

I get calls from this number at least twice a day...they juist want you to call back and they make money on it...if no one calls them back then they make nothing

I just got one from this number and she 'couldn't help me as I already had the best plan with telstra'.

I told her she could help me by giving me an Iphone, lol.  She refused :(

I answered after seeing this website and guy (Kevin) was surprised that I accused him off not being a legitimate Telstra rep. Told me he got my number from Telstra - they handed over the database. Their company had won Telstra rep of the year 6/8 years. Advised I should call 1300 792 958 to regsiter do not call and 1800 039 059 for opt out. Dont call from mobile or you get charged.

This bloody number calls me every day. I've asked Telstra to block the number but they are not able to.
