So how do you get rid of them? I have never answered since they started, yet they keep calling everyday. Can you just answer by telling them to "go away" - maybe with more colourful language?

I have been getting calls from 0862102355 for a while. What I found fascinating was that so many people have obviously had the same experience and the same idea of searching for the number on the web - and even more fascinating is to discover the existence of this website. Very interesting.

I used to work for Telstra (til they sent my job to Manila - it all comes back to Telstra, remember) and I was aware of the type of telemarketers they use. It's sad really. If they had competent management they could be a decent company, instead of one of the most hated companies on the planet.

I have been getting a call about once a day for over a week, and when I answer they hang up.. I only want to asnwer to get them to take me off their bloody list...Absolute pests!

According to Telstra this is a number that belongs to one of their dealers, TSA.

It is a legitimate call TGA handle Telstras outboard busness customers.
How it works is the dialer system every company works of doesnt allow the agent to call an exact number. The system does it so its not the person hanging up it is the operating system itself if you dont say hell it doesnt go through and the system disconnects it.

TSA- Is different they handle Telstra's outboard residential calls.

Also in Australia to take delivery of a new mobile phone whether it be done over the phone, in store, Pre-paid, what ever you need to have a valid Australia drivers licence number/ exp or Passport number. This is a legal obligation. Also a secondry id needs to be give as well which can be medicare card number or the last 6 digits of a bank card or credit card. You never need to give the entire number of the bank card as it is just a secondry form of ID.

Now to stop the calls because its not another service provider calling poaching your service its exempt from the do not call register. All you need to do is answer the call verify you are the account holder and request them not to contact you.

In saying that its often worth listening to as these outboad companies can usually do better deal than stores as the stores are mainly franchised. Anything you do over the phone is governed by Australian consumer law so any new service has a cooling off period from the time you recieve the paper work so your covered either way.

Also ALWAYS ask for an interaction reference and their I.D number for the call.

Nothing will happen mate tsa backhand loads of Telstra staff. Telstra will always defend them. Although The media might just expose some of this..... Stay tuned.

Called them, and went through to an actual person,.  he apologised and said that their computer system has a glitch at the moment, that causes it to hang up because it thinks it is going through to voice mail, and they are not allowed to leave a message

I asked to be taken off their list, he asked for phone number, name (anonymous :-) )  and state.  said he would take my number off the list, and would take approx 24 hours.

Lets see if it happens!

This number is for Telstra Customers only, if you have different Phone line/service provider please look up similar phone number to call on your providers website

I don't have time to waste on stupid phone calls from this number. If I want to talk to Telstra about my account I'll bloody well ring gthem myself!

We had a call from a David on above phone no saying he was from TGA Telstra. He said they look after all Telstra's Business Customers and started promising free calls etc.  He had all our phone numbers that he claimed he got from telstra.  When I asked him to put it all in writing he got very defensive.  I told him we were not interested and hung up on him.

Be warned this is a scam.

i have been getting multiple calls from this number every day this week. By midday today i had two. and it was the first time i was able to answer. both times, i answered stating who i was, and they immediately hung up with out pause.

Please advise who this is

Thankyou for your offer. Had I known it would take 5 calls to telstra at at least 2 hrs per call and 10 consultants to actually get my free calls added to my account I would not have bothered , as it would have been more beneficial to work in my business than manage my telstra accounts, which telstra is supposed to be doing, afterall they get paid for it - i don't!

After receiving numerous phone calls that keep hanging up from this number (0862102355) on my mobile. I phone the landline and was put on hold for 15 minutes only to be answered by someone who advised that they represent TGA Telephone Group a Telstra dealership. They advised that they would remove my number from their automotive marketing campaign. If I wished to complain I needed to speak to Telstra. What a total waste of time.
