Receiving  calls several times from this telephone number at various times of the day. But generally between 18:00 hrs

if a form your filling out asks for contact details, why are you suprised when they contact you?

i'm only in my 20's and know not to fall for these scams, why do others do this day in day out then moan they're getting phonecalls?

The worst thing you can do is ignore them as they will keep calling - have some backbone and just tell them 'your not interested'

Exactly, most people who enter the details don't even need glasses or contact lenses, they just see the word 'Free' and go 'OOOooo'.  I think everyone else has pretty much sketched a fair view of the company, the Cheerleader is in the minority, is OBVIOUSLY a manager/supervisor and probably in a store where we know they have it cushy, they most likely have no idea what the call centre is like.

If you enter your details, why are you surprised when you are called?  I mean seriously, why would we offer FREE LASER if there's nothing to be had from it.  It's a marketing ploy, to get people in to talk to them about Laser.  Dont get me wrong, everyone I've spoken to who has had it done says its the best thing ever and if I needed glasses I'd probably go for it so if it's what you want then great but if you're just a grabber who's looking for something for free then stop moaning because you don't get anything for nothing, you really should know that by now.  If you don't want called, dont put your number down, seems kinda obvious.

Also, please say 'hello' when you pick up the phone, I know everyone picks up their phone habits from their parents but just answering your phone and not acknowledging that you are there (and is not an answering machine or dead line) is just plain ignorant, your parents may not have had manners or brains enough to teach you how to answer a phone but its never too late to learn!!

I've had exactly the same problem. Next time they call I will politely ask them to remove my details. The sad thing is I really do want laser eye surgery but would not choose this company after all the phone calls and everything I have read on here. If they were such an amazing company they wouldn't have to use such desperate tactics to gain customers *shakes head*

I wouldnt let their admin system reflect on the trained specialists they have in stores. the people treating your eyes have nothing to do with the amount of calls you get each day do they?

Just entered compettion to win free laser eye treatment.  By the time I'd pressed the submit button I was receiving a call from OPTICAL EXPRESS.  They left a message.  I have now unsubcribed to their contacting me.  What a nightmare......are they deperate for clients!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This nr. is calling me all the time even if Im saying that I dont want to speek to them.

Oh god - what have I done?!  I've just booked myself into a free consultation and gave them my details - luckly just my mobile and not my landline...

I'm guessing that when they call they're trying to book you an appintment for a consultation?  If that's the case I'll just agree to an appointment everytime they call me and never turn up - I think if everyone started doing that they'd soon change their tactics!!

Did the same thing.Thought I was just entering a competition but as soon as I pressed the enter button, it said 'we will be in contact with you to arrange a consultation' that's not I wanted at all! Thanks to this site I know when it's them calling and I just hang up on them.

These bl..dy people!  I am sick to death of telling them we do not require their services!

Yesterday afternoon I got a telephone call from their local shop and explained we go elsewhere, and she apologised for ringing and said she would take us off their records.

This morning I have had two calls so far from the above number!  DO NOT use Optical Express!

I entered an online competition to win Lasery Surgery and they then started ringing me to get me to arrange a free consultation.  I can't really be bothered with that unless I win, or at some point can afford to have it done.

They keep ringing me at least twice a day!

Entered a laser eye surgery competition through ASOS, they rang me straight away, and twice since. Annoying.

I get repeated missed calls from this number, I have no idea why.

Got a call from 08702202020 at 8.25pm and they hung up when I answered.  I hate this!  I was watching a DVD of the Mentalist and I lost the thread for a moment lol.  Seriously though ... these computerised calls must be stopped.  It's an invasion into my privacy.

Got a call from this number 1330 hrs saturday 12th june, it rang only 5 cycles then stopped. I wouldn't have answered anyway as I don't know this number. Caller display is just so useful.

My telephone is ONLY there for MY use, not for others to do as they please.

Literally within seconds of submitting a competition entry I had 2 missed calls from Optical Express!!  Wish I'd never entered to win laser eye surgery.  Has certainly put me off ever wanting to use them should I be able to actually afford to have my eyes done.

Keep getting calls from this company - suspect because I stupidly filled in an online 'win free laser surgery' competition.  How can I make it stop?!!!
