When someone like this calls, ask them to hold on a minute and just put the phone down and continue with what ever you were doing. Now your waisting their time and it's very unlikely that they'll call again. Time is money!!

I agree - think David Moulsdale ( the so called 'leadership' at Optical Express) is a total embarrassment.
Im shocked RBS renewed their lending agreement with Optical Express.
Taxpayers money getting wasted .

Views comments and opinions on forum about David Moulsdale - the owner of Optical Express

1. He has no interest in the wellbeing of his workforce, which is why he abuses his position of trust as an employer to prey on and get involved with young females (employees) through lies , hires multiple bedrooms at his Optical Express Christmas parties and gets his PA to pick up for him. ( as Alleged by 'EX' a commentor on this forum )- I think he therefore demonstrates his attitude towards the the duty of care he has towards his employees.

Another commentor called ' Chang ' has dubbed David Moulsdale the ' Jimmy Saville of the eye world '

2. Someone anonymous  called 'ex' has written on this forum , insinuating that David Moulsdale is using drugs.It is rumoured previous to this that Moulsdale has been using cocaine according to 'speechless.'

3.He is so interested in the best standards of eye care that he (as Sasha Rodoy alleges) has offered a government campaigner a bribe- in contravention to the bribery act and the law, not to campaign for government legislation in laser eye- surely the better option was to work with her?

4. In Personnel Today 2005 it was reported as follows

'Optical Express/The Dental Clinic has been accused of managing its staff badly and ignoring employment regulations. Personnel Today has received a letter from a source close to the company detailing a number of questionable employment practices - all of which have been denied by the management.'

5. David Moulsdale been reported in the papers to have affiliations with a well known scottish gangster.

6. He seems to have no problem with removing feedback about him from the internet (eg this forum, ex staff of optical express facebook pages and wikipedia) so and trying to inimidate people to not be involved in saying anything negative about him- probably so he can drag more people into his fantasist life of no consequences. (The ex staff of Optical Express had nearly 200 members with mainly negative feedback which has now been removed from the Internet )

7.  David Moulsdale has had his company offer complaining customers refunds - allegedly( Orml info) only when they sign a gagging order stopping them from telling others about their experience. see opticalexpressruinedmylife.co.uk

8. some customers who have struggled to get refunds and or compensation have written testimonies on opticalexpressruinedmylife.co.uk-

9. There are comments on this forum suggesting people feel intimidated by Moulsdale eg .'bob etc'

10. Moulsdale has borrowed heavily from RBS (to make his millions) which has been bailed out by taxpayers to run a business which has recently caused an 80 store subsidary go into administration and job losses, causing tensions with landlords as reported in the Telegraph.OE was accused of shutting shop before the rent was due .

11.  in 2007 Optical Express became engaged in a dispute with HMRC . This was over a disputed 10.9 million pounds in taxes.

12. Optical Express has been reported in the Which magazine as being the worst performing optical chain

13. Optical Express were featured on tv programme Watchdog which sent undercover  customers into their stores. They accused OpticalExpress of providing misleading information to customers and underplaying risks of laser eye surgery .

Are you living in one of the optical express rented flats now too ?

i was obzerving on christmas day. Seeing what unfounded rubish is important to sad people with nothing else to do but muckrack about optical express on a day of peace and reconciliation

Why don't you tell David Moulsdale that instead of renting flats to do consultations in he could ask staff if they don't mind driving  mobile vans to do consultations from or maybe even ask staff if they wouldn't mind him renting rooms in their houses- he could lease mobile vans too so if it all goes to pot again he's always got a quick get out out of paying rent and doesn't have to waste taxpayers money running with the landlords rent money. then his consultations could truly be brought closer to these communities too .

Maybe then moulsdale could be a real entrepreneur bringing the first consultation on wheels or consultation in your neighbours house model to the UK !

Did David moulsdale reconcile with the people he put out of jobs on Christmas day ?

Or did he reconcile with the complaining customers on this forum on Christmas day  ? Didn't he ignore their emails ? Was he planning to write back peacefullly on Christmas day ?

what about the 2000 pepole at optical express who do have jobs this christmas? Why talk about the few? Those 2000 are very pleased to have decent pay and a job helping people see

So why bring down the ex staff of optical express facebook pages ?


What about the fact that it is essentially the tax payer now funding the continuance of optical Exoress through RBS ? Why does moulsdale think he's in a position to take credit for keeping people in jobs when RBS ' supported' the appointment of the Board to help OE sort their finanCial problems out ?

Is it not true Optical express engaged in a multimillion pound dispute with HMRC in 2007 ?

What's the point in employing people in
an enterprise essentially funded by the taxpayer when the company itself doesn't seem to want to pay their taxes ???

From what I've heard optical express are by the sounds of things a very unpopular employer.
