'Just being laughing at this page after page of hate against OE. I worked for them for 3 years and so much of what you people have said on here is true and if anything worse! Too many stories to start telling on here but lets just say that a whole lot of very good hard workers are wasting their time with this business. The image they try to give people about being professional is so far from the truth as to be laughable. One mistake, error, failure, delay, late payment, failed refund, unhappy customer after another.'

I think you are making a big presumption here...that the 2000 you talk about all have an altruistic motive..ie to help people to see. Therefore why does it appear to be the case that patients who may not be suitable passed for surgery..this seems to be the suggestion from the many reviews from unhappy customers. Could it be that for many of the 2000 their livelihood is dependent upon meeting targets which can in some cases conflict with with the best interest of the patient.
Whereas for most of the patients laser surgery will bring some benefits but for those patients where things go wrong the results can be devastating.....so perhaps more of those 2000 should be giving consideration to the latter if they can be regarded as genuinely altruistic!!!

Yous comment "why talk about the few" could quite easly be Optical Express' motto......take their money and fingers crossed....most customers will see a benefit  so why worry about the damaged few.....after all we can find figures to support our claim that 99% are satisfied (after all most people won't read the small print) and we can fend off complaints from THE FEW!!!L
Talking about the few damaged patients  may give the prospective few the information to change the course of their decision making.

2000 optical express people all can not  all be coerced into doing harm. Come on. Doctors and optometrists
are honest professionals. The rest are ordinary british public

So how did Optical Express wind up on BBC watchdog with undercover video footage and having very poor feedback from the Which magazine ?

You know exactly the reasons for the criticisms of OE and you know as well as I do where the problems lie .

Please don't blame it on anything else aside from your rubbish company .

That's why you did so badly in the spectacle market and ended up getting beaten to a pulp . You don't get it and or you don't want to get it . Whichever one it is David Moulsdale should just be happy he made some money and sell the company to someone who does get it .

@wondering obviously you had a fulfilling Christmas posting on this forum over 50 times during the festive period! Wish I had a full and happy life like you! Who needs friends and family when you can obsessively post on a forum during the holidays.

And yOu have obviously got a problem with every blogger poster and Internet chat user in the whole world .

There is a reason why the Internet is such a powerful resource and such a powerful medium for communication.

But that's why you are here aren't you. ? Well you not posting over the festive season is testament that you are probably paid to do this .

And I bet you wish you could stop my freedom to type on an Internet forum - but I'm not ashamed. The reason Why this forum is featured so high on a google search is because people may be reading this and may also identify with some of the issues raised on the forum

A senior employee at optical express- so the shame is all yours not mine .

Clearly you have a very happy and fulfilling life - probably working for David moulsdale and probably so good at sorting your company out that the best you can do is try to stop people from writing about Optical Express.  You must be very good at your job .

The fascination that the person has in DM is staggering. To be this involved emotionally I wonder if;
His or her GF was treated to the bedroom invitation at the Christmas party

1. He has no interest in the wellbeing of his workforce, which is why he abuses his position of trust as an employer to prey on and get involved with young females (employees) through lies , hires multiple bedrooms at his Optical Express Christmas parties and gets his PA to pick up for him. ( as Alleged by 'EX' a commentor on this forum )- I think he therefore demonstrates his attitude towards the the duty of care he has towards his employees.

Another commentor called ' Chang ' has dubbed David Moulsdale the ' Jimmy Saville of the eye world '

2. Someone anonymous  called 'ex' has written on this forum , insinuating that David Moulsdale is using drugs.It is rumoured previous to this that Moulsdale has been using cocaine according to 'speechless.'

3.He is so interested in the best standards of eye care that he (as Sasha Rodoy alleges) has offered a government campaigner a bribe- in contravention to the bribery act and the law, not to campaign for government legislation in laser eye- surely the better option was to work with her?

4. In Personnel Today 2005 it was reported as follows

'Optical Express/The Dental Clinic has been accused of managing its staff badly and ignoring employment regulations. Personnel Today has received a letter from a source close to the company detailing a number of questionable employment practices - all of which have been denied by the management.'

5. David Moulsdale been reported in the papers to have affiliations with a well known scottish gangster.

6. He seems to have no problem with removing feedback about him from the internet (eg this forum, ex staff of optical express facebook pages and wikipedia) so and trying to inimidate people to not be involved in saying anything negative about him- probably so he can drag more people into his fantasist life of no consequences. (The ex staff of Optical Express had nearly 200 members with mainly negative feedback which has now been removed from the Internet )

7.  David Moulsdale has had his company offer complaining customers refunds - allegedly( Orml info) only when they sign a gagging order stopping them from telling others about their experience. see opticalexpressruinedmylife.co.uk

8. some customers who have struggled to get refunds and or compensation have written testimonies on opticalexpressruinedmylife.co.uk-

9. There are comments on this forum suggesting people feel intimidated by Moulsdale eg .'bob etc'

10. Moulsdale has borrowed heavily from RBS (to make his millions) which has been bailed out by taxpayers to run a business which has recently caused an 80 store subsidary go into administration and job losses, causing tensions with landlords as reported in the Telegraph.OE was accused of shutting shop before the rent was due .

11.  in 2007 Optical Express became engaged in a dispute with HMRC . This was over a disputed 10.9 million pounds in taxes.

12. Optical Express has been reported in the Which magazine as being the worst performing optical chain

13. Optical Express were featured on tv programme Watchdog which sent undercover  customers into their stores. They accused OpticalExpress of providing misleading information to customers and underplaying risks of laser eye surgery .

PLEASE PLEASE post on the new OERML website and keep the ball rolling.......let's get an unstoppable snowball effect!!!!

It is worrying to note that a subsidiary of OE - Bridgewater Hospital Manchester - conducts an extensive range of surgical procedures. If the moral, ethical and business practices applied in this subsidiary mirrors those which appear, from the many reviews on the Internet,to apply in the parent company, then the potential for inflicting pain and misery is hugely magnified. The question of the regulation of the cosmetic surgery industry has been in the news recently and hopefully by highlighting the similarities with the laser surgery industry, the latter can also  achieve further publicity.

I have no problem with it, what so ever. Your motive seems ok, but your passion just seems excessive if you have no personal dispute with the company.

You have raised 1 point about me, stating that I am clearly and emotionally involved or covering for DM. This is pure conjecture and factually incorrect. I guess many forums are high on hearsay, speculation and rumour however your position claims to be facts and truth. The reply you sent above does not do justice to facts or truth, and as this seems to be your quest, you could damage your own ambition. But that's for you, speculate away, or find facts. I'm happy either way.

Hi wondering. I am not a blogger, and generally reluctant to get sucked in, but you are such a tease, posting something that looks obviously untrue.

I will take a look, cos I'm a googler! However I am not on a crusade, and I seems implausible that someone interested in truth and facts has not read the site which according to you talks about these. Further you seem to recommend a site for facts when you have no way of verifying the statements there, fundamentally because you could not seen them.

I still believe that you have been bruised by contact with the company, as either staff or customer, if not you then someone close.

My interests, if that was the reason for the spurious post, are primarily retail branding and product life cycle management. I'm sure that you would advise get out more....

Are you planning to appoach Moulsdale as a consultant to help him save his company?
