Do you ever get phone calls from your dentist telling you to get your teeth whitened?

What ever happened to healthcare?  I cant believe there are people out there that can seriously justify this madness!

If a company cant take no for an answer it is disrespectful to its client/ patient and therefore should not be trusted! This isnt a hard sell on a new car, its surgery!

i have had two calls today, im 16 dont wear glasses and wont need laser surgery also i never sent any to them

repeated call

For weeks now we have been subjected to unsolicited calls from this number. They never leave a message (ooh, I wonder if that's because it's automated!) and I just want to know WHHYYY??!!

I have been getting phone calls from this number for a few weeks now. Latest one was tonight at 9pm!! I don't answer the phone as I only answer numbers I recognise. Looking through the other posts though majority of people have entered a competition with them whereas I haven't.
It's so frustrating, I thought that they would have got the hint by now that i'm not interested!

Its amazing - I had an appt made to check my eligibility for laser surgery - they then rang me 3 days prior to the appt to tell me they cant fulfill my prescription and cancelled my appt.  SInce then they call me daily - very poor processes and customer service!

They are push push push- selling healthcare like they are selling cabbages.harrassment on the phone constantly- really desperate!

Answerphone full of calls from this number, no message left. I have subscribed to TPS and do not appreciate being harrassed like this.

I get at least 3 calls a day on mobile ... its Sunday and they've already called twice and its just 1pm.  Now I know who it is; thanks to this website, they are going to definitely hear from me.  We could all en masse call them 3 times a day and see how they like it.

If you phone them on their landline (I used 01236 861 300) press 5 and ask them to stop - they check your address and name and then they apologise profusely, and stop caling.

they wont stop calling you until you answer the phone and tell them never to call you again. ignoring it wont work.

Thanks everybody, I was wondering who this was. Like an idiot I entered some competition I think and that is hwere they must have got my number. Ho Hum.

souns like they are doing some cost cutting- which means they arent growing their sales.

well dont worry if you got sacked- it sounds like a terrible place to work- and maybe you are better off elsewhere- I know its no consolation now- just before christmas- but this could be a new beginning for you!

Go out there and fight for the right job! You sound like someone who cares and every company needs that in every industry. Make this the start of everything you did want to do in your career and make it happen!
Abpve all - dont stop caring, sadly there are companies out there that will always be cowboys- at the same time remember some of the greatest employers- business people and companies put their people at the heart of their business and hold on to the people who care for many years!

Dont give up and dont let this get you down- I speak from experience.
And the recession- there are jobs out there- remember- you just have to be that little bit different to make yourself stand out- dont be afraid to be different and dont be afraid to show those interviewers you really will make a difference in their business!

This could come at a good time- now you can go to all the parties you want to and land yourself a fab new job in the new year!

I've never knowingly given them my details; I don't enter competitions or anything like that, but somehow they got my number, and they call me day and night.

Hysterically enough, Optical Express claim their way of doing business embraces corporate social responsibility. From their website:

"Corporate Social Responsibility is one of Optical Express' values and is firmly anchored in our corporate culture. Every day we demonstrate our beliefs in the guiding principles of our mission statement in the way we do business. Our services make a positive contribution to the quality of life enjoyed by people all over the world."

Apparently they don't realise it's socially irresponsible to make relentless calls to people who don't want to be pestered by unsolicited marketing.

I may have to start asking them if they've accepted Jesus as their personal saviour...
