All rather trivial; I just happen to possess a superior knowledge on these matters. My analytical skills and intellect may be intrinsically hindered by my vanity, but pleases do not be fooled. I have an enormous ability to visualize, articulate, and solve both complex and stupidly easy problems and concepts and make decisions for us all. To emphasis this I am underlining my reply to you while I spend a few hours rooting through all 100 pages (my pages) and watching re-runs of Crossroads on my OE DVD player.

Sorry to disappoint you, but even my “incredible skills” are not sufficient to produce babies from two females, especially when I’m definitely on the wrong side of 40.

You will find Marion’s post, which Wondering partially quotes, on page 90 (19th Jan).  It’s presumably the same Marion posting as Marion McNeil on page 89 (18th January).  You could have found it yourself by googling the phrase that Wondering quoted, but that would presume an interest in facts on your part, rather than purely in your role as a troll.

Wondering could also have provided the reference, but probably didn’t because it would have devalued her quote by putting it in context.

You should try going back to the original post rather than taking Wondering at face value or pursuing your own biased agenda.  Wondering has proved to be consistently unreliable in providing facts.  As a very large part of her rant was about money and she showed no remorse for her activities, Marion’s concern for money was obvious.  . Let me provide you with another quote from Marion “I've seen some very unhappy people over the years and ruined many many lives !”

It’s obvious that she was little more than a call centre operator or "advisor", because
1)    She claimed direct contact with customers.  Quote “They wanted me to lie to people to get them to commit to a surgery date to meet company targets”.  Therefore shop staff or call centre.
2)    Any medically qualified person or shop/branch management would certainly know that it's the CQC, not the NHS who are responsible for audit.  Marion didn’t.  That leaves medically unqualified shop staff (advisor) or call centre operator.  The CQC has been in place for nearly 4 years.  The NHS has never been responsible for audit.
3)    Her level of literacy does not indicate any additional qualification over and above school leaver.

Not hard was it? But only when you think instead of just reacting.

Moulsdale is of no interest to me.  You seem to have personal interest and are the one who claims to know him - possibly intimately.  Why don’t you ask him yourself?

23 topics 187 posts at time of typing.  All the other Eye Laser Forums are DEAD and go weeks if not months between posts, whereas http://www.opticalexpressruinedmylife.co.uk/ is alive and kicking.  Glad to hear you are a regular viewer.  You can slag & wince as much as you want, the FACT is, OERML grates OE, it is without doubt, damaging their bottom line.

The E-petition is / was only a means to an aim.  I will leave you to figure out what the aim is.  There are many avenues / paths / twists and turns, that will lead to the final goal.  It is of no significance if the e-petition fails / failed.  That scenario is latched upon by a small narrow minded people.  It was accepted that the e-petition would never succeed in obtaining the required numbers.  So really there is little to gloat about, but hey keep scraping the barrel.  

What is more important is the final aim & if that is achieved, there are many ways to skin a cat.

You often bleat about Sasha wanting a consultancy role at OE.  As a wannbe junro, I suggest you research a little deeper.  It was Patrick James Green who offered Sasha £10k for her not to mention OE in her press campaign.  This bribe was turned down and the evidence is continually removed from youtube.  

It's no big secret that Sasha helps a lot of Optimax patients (yet another of your wrong assumptions), but Optical Express won't deal with her.  This couldn't have anything to do with the real fact, OPTICAL EXPRESS have too many damaged patients could it???   Far in excess of Optimax / Ultralase combined!.

OE simply could not possibly compensate the sheer number of damaged patients, especially considering half of the company is already in administration, as landlords struggle to collect rent.

Numbers.  Numbers are only important to OE, their business model is based around it, doesn't matter whom hey treat, existing dry eye conditions, so long as they have bums on seats.  I repeat OERML is having an impact.  Damn shame that nominet ruling.

Do I hear Sasha?

Whether OERML grates OE or not it's immaterial.  The posts are almost all from Sasha's followers, saying the same thing over and over again.

The e-petition was not of "no significance" a few months ago, but having failed, it's suddenly not important.  Likewise the Twitter account.

I have seen the video and have never disputed that OE tried to bribe Sasha.  They just didn't offer enough and she lowered her sights considerably later.  As an actual "journo" with over 20 years experience, I've done my research.

I have evidence to support the assertion that Sasha did ask for a consultancy position at OE.  She got away with suggesting that it was a lighthearted throw away remark at the Nominet hearing, but other emails suggest otherwise.  She just can't resist boasting to her followers.  OE also had other evidence, which they were not prepared to submit because it would expose other issues.

On the basis that Optical Express was twice the size of Optimax, there's no surprise in it having many more damaged patients than Optimax. The percentage rate is probably not that different.  The limited published data tends to confirm that.  I don't often have anything good to say about OE, but, unlike Optimax who try to deal with referrals on the cheap, OE at least recognise the issue.

The only impact that OERML is having is of boosting the morale of the faithful.  It may irritate OE, but irritation is a long way from impact.

I'm more than willing to wait and be proved right.  I remember similar announcements dating from last August.  Still waiting.  However, end of the year will probably be too late - next stage of Keogh due at Easter.  Miss that boat and nothing will revive the campaign.

They try to string people along with promises that they can help, they keep people waiting for months and months and months for medications when they are fully aware that those patients are suffering. THEY DON'T CARE AND DON'T WANT TO KNOW......recognise the issue my ****. The only thing they recognise is their bottom line.........but before long they will have other things which hey will be forced to recognise.

I personally think David Moulsdales is probably just out for himself and is probably an extremely selfish person from the sounds of things .

I think that If he cared about Optical Express or how customers perceive him and his company  and didn't care about making money he would announce a pay cut for himself whilst the business performance is declining -

From everything I've read so far i think he is possibly still paying himself the same wage despite shutting at least a quarter of his shops last year and the recent losses posted for 2011.

David Moulsdale has borrowed a lot of money from RBS to run Optical Express . RBS has been bailed out by the taxpayer .

I think David Moulsdale should show some respect for loyal customers let down by the store closures and hardworking employees let down by his( in my view ) poor management of Optical Express by explaining to everyone transparently how he justifies drawing what I think may be half a million pounds a year in wages .

Expose other issues? Like hacking Sasha's computer?

If Sasha's computer was hacked then why last summer was she sending out e-mails to her followers with her bank details on asking them to donate to her campaign? If my computer had been hacked the last thing I would be doing is sending out e-mails with my bank account details on.

If her computer was hacked they'd already have her personal details - wouldn't you ;)

To be precise, Sasha didn't ask for donations to the campaign, she asked for contributions to the website costs.  15 ppl x £5 (I was one of them)

As close as possible to the deleted original I'm repeating Anon's comment, which should remain as documented evidence that Optical Express are totally concerned with profits, NOT patient care!

Anon/OE categorically stated that the fundamental problem within the eye surgery industry is the competition and prices, NOT quality and results.

The campaign for legislation is entirely concerned with poor quality and results, NOT competition and prices.

This is not a Tesco v Asda price match and shows total disrespect for the high volume of patients suffering problems following surgery.

Only someone profiting from the industry would offer such a mercenary viewpoint.

Refractive Eye Surgery: A Call for an Independent Inquiry and Legislation

I am supporting Sasha Rodoy and the My Beautiful Eyes campaign calling for an independent investigation into the refractive eye surgery industry (Laser/RLE/IOL & more) and the need for legislation to regulate this industry more effectively.

For some time a number of MPs have called for better regulation of this industry to tackle the problems that people have experienced with regard to its sales techniques, surgical standards, the scale and seriousness of problems resulting from this type of surgery and the quality of aftercare.

Following a detailed investigation by Which some years ago a Private Member’s Bill attempted without success to introduce more effective regulation of this industry. The problems highlighted in Parliament at that time have not gone away and many believe have got worse.

I have attached my own story for you to read and understand what I have gone through (NB: Delete if not attaching story)

John McDonnell MP will be seeking a debate in Parliament in order to urge the Government to establish an independent inquiry into the refractive eye surgery industry and to call for more effective legislation to regulate the industry.

When I and others harangued them in August 2012, the previous Health Ministers Simon Burns and Secretary of State Andrew Lansley and Sir Bruce Keogh all displayed total disinterest for the My Beautiful Eyes Campaign.

They were each entirely unconcerned that so many people are suffering serious problems following eye surgery, being far more excited about the cosmetic surgery industry!

Sir Bruce Keogh's own response to my lengthy and detailed emails came from his Business Manager - advising me to fill in an online form!

It's only people power which will get this industry under control!

I am contacted now on a daily basis by more and more people damaged by eye surgery.

To date I have successfully helped many with practical advice and, when appropriate, forwarded them to lawyers who are themselves becoming more knowledgeable and experienced with the methodology of this industry.  

That's fine, but we MUST STOP any more being damaged and the only way to do that is to pressure the government to legislate!

It WILL happen - but only with your help!!
