Take one comment out of context and that’s repeating my comment? Then assume that I am a representative of, or employed by Optical Express? Let me expand on my comment for those of poor memory, poor comprehension, or desire to twist the facts to suit themselves.
I expressed a logical viewpoint as an observant outsider. Both Optical Express and Optimax are in business solely to make money, not to benefit society. To think otherwise is naïve.
Yes, the fundamental problem with the laser vision correction industry is that it is dominated by Optical Express and Optimax, who only compete on the basis of price, not on quality or results. They only pay lip service to the latter. The situation is not improved by the patients themselves who ignore the old adage of pay peanuts and get monkeys.
You used the price match analogy. That is precisely where Optimax and Optical Express position themselves in the market. You may be happy buying “Value” products for your dinner table. The worst that can happen is that you have wasted your money. Why risk your eyesight by choosing a provider who only competes on price?
There is a good reason why the more reputable clinics charge more, why both Optimax and Optical Express use “bait and switch” to improve their profit margins and why neither Optical Express nor Optimax are willing to spend much on their failures – good initial results and quality aftercare costs money. Even the Complex Care team at Optical Express is all about money saving. Not necessarily to deliberately inject delay, but it’s probably cheaper for them to run in-house referrals than contract out. Optimax choose the other low cost route of only referring out when under a lot of pressure and then only to the cheaper consultants.
There are also a number of good reasons for the high numbers of patients with problems. Low cost equates to corner cutting with the absolute minimum of expensive medically qualified staff involved for each patient. A recession and shrinking market puts pressure on these clinics to accept more difficult cases and also on shop staff to meet targets. As Optimax and Optical Express claim over three quarters of the market between them, their poor practices dominate overall results. Finally, you have patients who only select on the basis of cost.
Read the e-petition for a summary of aims. There's no mention of better quality results, though better results may derive from better patient information.
The campaign was about better information for patients, registered laser surgeons, continuity of individual surgeon care from initial consultation through to discharge, more honest advertising and an enforced cooling-off period. In other words, forcing the likes of Optimax and Optical Express to do what reputable clinics are already doing. That’s why Sasha initially received support from the more reputable clinics. However, her arrogance and methods have alienated that support. They agree with the aims but will not be seen to be associated with Sasha.

Expose other issues? Like hacking Sasha's computer?”
Not on the emails which I have, but certainly a discussion paper on the relative costs of submitting to Sasha’s blackmail and potential means of doing so. Shows that Sasha’s request was not being treated as “lighthearted”.
@Anon (which one)
Who but a fool keeps important details unencrypted on their computer and who doesn’t change bank account, credit cards, passwords etc after being hacked? - Anon (which one) replies to Anon (the original)How would you know whether Sasha's bank a/c details etc were changed or not?

No matter how much you now try to smudge the lines this shouts louder than anything you've ever said before that you are an industry employee!
Don't weasel out with more lies!

You mean Moorfields & Centre for Sight ?
Sasha found out Moorfilds surgeon DavidGartry burnt out one man's cornea by overlasering & he'd been sued .Also His colleagues were unhappy about his association with her .Bet you didn't know it was gartry who started Sasha on her campain ?!
Even copied her epetition added an extra poibnt to it & presented it at the Brighton conference last year as hois own calling it " The 10 deadly sins " !!
Mr Daya is on very good terms with sasha raking it in thanks to her . I saw him with Sasha after she helped get me a consultation paid by Optical express .
You know f u c k all pal I garantee I have better information than you ! - Wondering replies to Who caresDavid Moulsdale is basically very interesting.
His only talent is, in my view -,convincing people - effectively sales- including convincing people to agree with him .
Moulsdale in my view- nothing special -just a mediocre salesman. - NOT a businessman .
Infact I have a feeling he knows it too-
Why else would David Moulsdale be so desperate to allegedly jump on young women at OpticalExpress ?
Could it be a self esteem issue ? I think maybe-
In the mean time his only talent seems to be convincing RBS to keep lending to OE despite him doing in my view a [***] job whilst he can carry on paying himself potentially half a million pounds a year .
Borrowed money it seems .
In the meantime an ' ex employee' ' Marion ' comments here calling Hugh Kerr and David moulsdale ' sleazy' and ' drug fuelled '
Moulsdale has allegedly offered sasha rodoy money to stop her government campaign for legislation in laser eye ?
Maybe Moulsdale must have been desperate ?
Optical express later announces over 80 stores going into administration and then posting losses of 1.5 million for 2011
I think moulsdale is an embarrassment to optical express - Anon (the original) replies to Banish David Moulsdale to Siberia| 6 replies@Banish David Moulsdale to Siberia
Your exact words (12 Feb 2013) were
“As close as possible to the deleted original I'm repeating Anon's comment”
Not close enough. My words were:
"The fundamental "problem" within the industry is competition ON price, NOT ON quality and results"
Only two words different, but a world of difference in meaning.
@Anon (which one)
You asked “How would you know whether Sasha's bank a/c details etc were changed or not?”. My source – Doxbin.
Doesn’t change the fact that only a fool would keep important data unencrypted on a computer.
@Who cares
Sounds like Nick again.
There’s more to reputable industry than Moorfields and Centre for Sight. You are correct, I didn’t “know” that it was Gartry who started her on her campaign. However the timeline doesn’t support that assertion. The official start point of the campaign was the e-petition published on 2nd Feb 2012. Doesn’t correlate with other information published then or later.
I have seen the abstract of the Brighton Conference. Did you know that she upset the Brighton Conference organisers? and do you appreciate the consequences of that for any chance of a successful campaign?
You may think that you “have better information than” me, but I can virtually guarantee that the majority of your information came from Sasha. She is good at re-inventing herself. There are a number of ex-associates prepared to state that she is not a reliable source and have supplied documentation to support that. - Anon (any one) replies to Anon (the original)| 2 replies

You haven’t been paying attention! You have either missed a couple of days posts before they were deleted or are deliberately trying to mislead visitors.
On p98 Banish David Moulsdale to Siberia (12th Feb) said “As close as possible to the deleted original I'm repeating Anon's comment”. A day and a half later (p98, 13th Feb) Banish David Moulsdale to Siberia seems to have forgotten that s/he was relying on memory and, fortuitously, can now remember my exact words from a deleted post now nearly three days old.
Only a couple of wrong/missing words, but enough to distort the meaning. “As close as possible to the deleted original I'm repeating Anon's comment,” was not close enough.
Unlike Banish David Moulsdale to Siberia I know what I said.
No twisting of facts, no re-invention on my part, only a poor attempt by you.
Poor memory on the part of Banish David Moulsdale to Siberia, poor attempt to mislead on your part. You know that the faithful are unlikely to go back and check the facts and rely on that.

www.opticalexpressruinedmylife.co.uk - Anon Disgruntled| 1 replyWell on the subject of Optical Express - we all know they are closing local stores, but they are doing so WITHOUT telling their customers who pay for contact lenses by Direct Debit scheme - yes they continued to take my money even though they are NOT able to provide me with a contact lense check, no letter or call - I only know this by the fact I have been trying for a month to get through to the store on the phone and decided to go in - oh and its shut!! I (along with many more people in my area) are no longer able to receive contact lense care within a hunder mile radius - disgusting!!!

He's basically in my opinion really stupid and doesn't in my view understand the concept of how being decent might be honourable and respectable and may even make a good long term business .
In my view he's just a stupid thick money grabber. Who knows maybe he thinks life Is just one big scam ? - OE ruined MY life| 3 repliesStill this horrid, despicable company carries on spamming various forums around the internet with total rubbish, claiming to be ordinary folk who just so happen to sign up to the forum and tell the world how great OE is etc etc and offering vouchers, it is comedy really seeing the lengths that this bunch of cowboys will go to, they must think the public are complete idiots, the worrying thing is OE are obviously being very heavy handed with the various site admins on these forums and having lots of negative stuff removed, same as on lots of well know review sites, they really are pure scum.
Still, it won't be long now before they crumble into the pile of crap they came from hopefully, less and less people are having corrective surgery performed now, OE's losses from 2011 were bad (and they know it), I hear Moulsdale was livid at some top end meeting recently, oh what a shame! (put a smile on my face though!) BUT the losses for the 2012 will be horrendous and this year will be the worst for them I predict, with any luck they will totally shut down in 2014, maybe then the remaining staff can get a job upgrade and work for McDonalds.- Caller: OE Scum
