Caller ID showed 08708507619. The man said he was Marcus from My House & asked to speak to the homeowner. As I subscribe to the Telephone Preference Service I was suspicious & hung up.

Under a Supremoglaze search Optimisations also comes up. This last outfit were involved in harrassing me when I stopped insuring my car with a certain High St company. It would be interesting to know if Optimisations are involved in harrassing other people or whether I was an exception.

Got a call from this company Supremoglaze offering me a £1500 voucher etc.   I asked how they got the number as we are on the Telpehone Preference System and they said that BT gave it to them!!  Chwcked with BT - they said this was rubbish.  So beware

Claimed to be Weatherseal, had probelms with is company before.

Told them not to phone then called back 10 miniutes later.  Asked to speak to a manager.  Phoine slammed down.   These people really are the scum of the earth!!!

08708507619   This number is calling me all the time.  I have two children and they always call just as i get them to sleep. I call back and they answer and hang up all the time or just don't answer full stop. It's really starting to get to me.

I am sick to death of it and can't even call them back to tell them to stop - registered with TPS but will only make a difference if they are also registered - unlikely.

If it is the company that everyone mentions on the internet then I think we should all send them some dogs poo in the post and what ever else you fancy!

I used to work for the company that sold weatherseal their dialling system. I went all round the country to their branches and found the Ilford branch the worst. Most of the staff were very rude, I put a decent pen down for two minutes and someone tried to nick it. Most of the staff have only been in the country a few days and the attrition rate is huge. People get screamed at to make a sale and arnt allowed breaks till they hit a target. The numbers they dial are used over and over again even if they have never got a sale from them because the company dont want to spend money on new data. The office is dirty and dingy with bare electrical wires hanging out of the wall. No wonder the staff dont care. Some of the senior managers seemed OK its the branch managers who are trying to hit targets and get bonuses that put the pressure on and ignore the ofcom rules.

The way they get numbers is to buy a validated list at a high price or enter a phone number of the correct format in cell A1 in excell, drag this number down to the bottom of the sheet so that it incrments by one in each cell. save the list and enter it into your dialling system and dial the numbers to ring once overnight. If a ringing tome is detected write the number to a new database if not drop the number. The next morning when you come in you have a list of validated numbers to dial during the day and try and sell the person who answers something. You can churn these numbers round day after day and keep increasing the list every night.

A good wat to avaoid this is to use an answer machine as most systems are configured to drop the call if a tape is detected.

This phone number has just called me (person on the other end said company name which sounded like Rimasol, not Supremoglaze) and when asked where they got my number from hung up without saying anything else.  In my book, that's rude and they obviously had some guilt (either as a company or individual) that they were phoning numbers that are on the TPS.  I'll be making some further enquiries as the last cold callers I had like this I reported and the company was investigated.  If you're on TPS, the company should be apologising and removing you straight away, not just hanging up.

These people got through to me first time.  Said his name was Alex from Weather-something or other.  He asked if I was thinking about making any improvements to my home.  I said I wouldn't be and wasn't interested.  He then asked if I had an alarm system in my home.  I said I wasn't interested but he persisted and then asked if I had soffits and guttering, I could see he was not going to take the hint so repeated I wasn't interested, said goodbye and hung up.  Persistent little bugger!  I am registered with the TPS so shall report to Ofcom.

That number just rang us my partner and was really rude at one point he said that she didn't want to buy anything off him coz he is black!!!!  Whatever.

Got a strange call today. A very young, unprofessional-sounding and almost child-like voice asked if I was the home-owner. Against my better judgment I confirmed that I was, and asked who was calling. They just hung up without saying anything more.The voice was so young and unprofessional sounding that I thought it was probably a youngster misbehaving at home, but rang 1471 and the number was 08708507619.

Didn't even get the chance to tell them I was signed up to the TPS! Hope they don't call back, and hope they can be stopped. From the posts above it sounds like I got off lightly...

Seems like they are at it again... as a principle I screen calls from 0870 numbers.

got an obscene phone call from 0870 8507 619 on Sat Oct 2 @ 1202pm.  No reply when I called back.

I had a call from this number and they said they were calling from Weathershield Promotions. Tried to sell conservatories, windows, doors and alarms. Very pushy man and he hung up when I wouldn't give post code.

A young lady kept calling yesterday about 4 times during the day, when challenged she said she had the wrong number as she needed to speak to her mum!!! we asked what number she was trying to dial, but she would not give out!!!

just press the hash button a few times then hang up, it sends a loud tone down the line to them. stuffs them hahahahaha

Just received a call from 08708507619. everyday these numbers listed below calls me non stop. Not enough strength to fight anymore. wish they just go away.

Each day they would have a new number they use to call me. I listed them and each time when they call I shall post their numbers here and in hope someone will know who they are. I am pleading them to stop these as I have received so many in the time of 10 months. they just pass our details off to another firm and the phone just do not stop at all. I am ex-directory, TPS and ofcom registered for nuisance calls and yet is not stopping. See below if anyone is receiving the same kind of calls as I have and do research online to identify and named and shamed them. Someone out there somewhere knows who they are!!!!!!! STOP THESE.
