I had a call from this company this morning, on a Sunday morning - ridiculous.  Picked up the phone and there was no answer, line just appeared to go dead when I said "Hello". tried to call back 2-3 times and the line just rings and rings, nobody ever answers.  Most legit companies at least have a VM message.  Am going to complain about this as we too are ex-directory.

Report supremoglaze to the telephone preference service.  They are an unscrupulous sales outfit and do not care how many times they annoy you, they are aggressive and will ignore all your pleas to stop calling them.

Yeah had loads last year Supremo Glaze trying to sell bloody windows had them yesturday and also just now. Im sure its classed as arrasement, as our number is supose to be ex directory.

I had this call the first time a year ago, asking if I needed buiding works in my flat.
At the time I said no.
Now, a couple of months ago they have started again and they asked if they could come and check my windows for free.
I then said know, but now they keep calling at every hour, Sat and Sunday included.
I never answer thought cause I dont have the time for these cons.

Caller from this number called me,when i answered they hung up.

just because youare ex directory though doesnt mean you want not get these calls people get there numbers from a system as it seems not the phonebook
to stop these calls i suggest TPS

What is supremoglaze? I got a phonecall from them today and they wanted to know all sorts of details, who owned the house, all sorts of numbers, etc. i didn't give them any further information. They also offered me 50% of a conservatory and were insisting to send someone around immerdiately. No idea where they go my number from.
Does anyone know what's behind them?

I have an answer machine on permanent monitoring so that I can hear who the caller before answering and I never pick the phone up without first hearing who the that caller is.

6 X silent calls today from this number and I will obviously be reporting this matter to OfCom and TPS.  

I might even consider a criminal report to my local police for offences under various communications acts, that of making nuisance or annoying phone calls.  Its so nice to have a company director prosecuted for the actions of his staff.

I believe the comments of "WORKER" above amply show the intellectual and educational levels of the staff of Supremoglaze.  The word moronic comes to mind............ oh and by the way "Worker", there are some very good adult literacy classes to help improve reading, writing and spelling skills in those who are educationally challenged or believe that Coronation Street is in fact, a real place.  Good luck and I hope you attain your NVQ in spelling etc.

I do know some people that work and have worked at supremoglaze, number are from a system like 'bailey' said above, ex-directry numbers are included in this which is unfortunate for some. i do recommend a TPS sign up if you haven't already, asw this may protect you from the calls you recieve but then again there have in the past year had problems with TPS number leaking on the system. The staff on the phones simply dont do the silent calls on purpose its basically down tothe system not connecting the call properly.

I think we should all be very careful about dealing with this company.  I just followed up what "tad" said ("Does anyone know what's behind them?")and did a check on the Companies House website.  Supremoglaze is not registered as a British company! Trade with them at your own risk.

I have done considerable work within the annoying, nuisance and offensive electronic communications arena and have been successful in prosecuting, in a criminal court, the company secretaries of a number of nationally known companies including a double glazing firm who were apparently at the top of the tree until recently.  

Could everyone remind themselves that only companies that have registered with the TPS are subject to the strictures placed upon them by that very well thought of organisation, the DMA.(Direct Marketing Association).  A company that isn't registered will not be fined by the TPS nor do they have to abide by any code of conduct placed upon a registereed company by the TPS.

If a company is registered at Companies House, the company secretary is responsible for the actions of the employees of that company and he/she is the person who would appear in a criminal court.

Its been my experience that when a call centre staff member receives a phone call from an irate member of the public regarding a cold call or series of the same, the CC staff consider it fair game to continue to call that individual to annoy and harass them, infantile though this is, and to smirk at the distress they are causing.  This is fact.(Perversely, my greatest pleasure was seeing a showroom manager, his call centre manager, and the entire call centre staff dismissed in 30 seconds by the head office of that particular company)(great satisfaction for both the poor individual who had been harrassed mercilessly by the staff and for myself)

I recommend that everyone who has this sort of problem should first inform their telephone service provider who will assist as much as they can.  Each company have their dedicated Nuisance Call Bureau.  Next, attend your local police station and make a formal complaint.  Take as much evidence and information as you can gather to assist the investigating officer.  The offence are very clear under various Acts of Parliment going back some 40 years.

The officer investigating can apply, via their SPOC(single point of contact)to find out who the telephone number is registered to and at this point its all down hill for the person to whom the phone is registered and their staff.

this number rang at 17.38 today when i was out. i realised when i dialled 1471

received a call from this number today 26/03/2008 again silent no which means automated dialling but they have called at least half of dozens before i normally do not answer calls from numbers i do not recognize .

I got this same number calling me only once, but I heard girls laughing. they would not talk at all. Anyway, they didn't say anything. I tried calling this number and all I got was nothing but ringing constantly. No Answer at all

THIS IS VERY STRANGE

someone should contact watchdog about these people and get them closed down, asking questions like am i the home owner and do i pay the mortgage? STOP bothering the public u bunch of morons.

the number has called 4 or 5 times every other day and i picked up the first few calls but ignore the rest now as theres never anyone there. can i do anything?

Like many of the comments below I have recieved a call from this number today.  They hung up when I answered it too.

no answer at other end but i could hear background noise. they then hung up and i heard them pick up the phone again and hang up again. no respones to my "hello?"

Male voice asked if I was the home owner.  When I said 'No, that's my brother', caller just hung up. Whoever the company is, they have very rude sales staff
