Just had a call from that number. Couldn't hear properly but definately strong Indian accent. Guy hung up when I started shouting at him :P

They've moved across the hill to Yorkshire now - didn't bother answering the phone . Caller display is a godsend!

Like everyone else had a male caller with an Indian accent saying he was from the Accident Investigation Bureau and wanting information about any accident in the last two years. I refused to discuss personal matters with him to which he became rude and tried to over talk me so I hung up. 1471 confirmed along with caller ID that he was calling from the number 091399.

Yes same as everyone else.  Strong Indian Accent.  "Accident Investigation bureau"   Someone on this number had an accident in the last two years, is that you?   Obvious scam,   Obviously I'm due compensation, they need my bank details and them wham- bank a/c empty.  

If he was investigating, he'd have my name, not say is that you.  Told him to sling his hook as he has the wrong number.  SCAMMER.  I'm TPS reg, but as other people have said you need details and address of the company.

this number 091399 called me today .same as all other reviews.spoke to two Indian men asking loads of questions about a accident I,d had .how are these people getting number etc and when I mentioned the police and were they had got their information from they said Goverment statistics .this is all very worrying .the male then hung up .on ringing back the number it is unvailable.

DBS Telecoms is a seller of local phone numbers which include London phone numbers. We are an Investors in People Company and Members of The Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce.

If you have a complaint about the way one of the numbers we have supplied is being used then we will look into this.

It’s highly unlikely that someone who purchases one of our numbers in order to operate a scam will say this to us at the time of purchase. If we hear this is the case we will take swift action.

To clarify: If a company purchases a London phone number directly from DBS Telecoms and calls you then the “real” phone number of the caller is displayed on your handset – not the London phone number. If the caller selects “number withheld” then no number will appear.

The forum post could be seen to imply that all that is necessary to connect a number with DBS is bank details. This is not the case. We require detailed information from our customers.

i nearly fell for this shame  2 just a couple of minutes ago as was in car accident and it was my fault and ive been waiting for the person involved to call me as no damage was really done but wanted to know if they was ok as i felt guilty as my 1st accident but then they said that other person said it was there fault then sound bells started ringing and said i had nowt wrong with me and then they hung up lol and im in merseyside and glad i typed this number up as it has shaken me a bit as didnt think nothing of it as it happened a few weeks ago so hope all people who see this dont panic over phone call just tell the indians who talki to bog of lol

Had a call from 091399 at 12:07 9/12, happy to say didnt answer call. The number called to is registered with the TPS and is also exdirectory and number is not given out. So how do they get the number and who can this be reported to, as somewhere the law or data protection is being broken!!!!

Will look into this and get it reported this scam!!!!

In South Yorkshire and just had a call from this person with a strong accent. Same attempt to gain information from me  as others describe. Challenged him from the off when he referred to me having an accident in my home town in the last 12 months. Clearly was a scam, he put the 'phone down.

Accident Investigation Bureau couldn't really understand him he was asian so i demanded where he got my number, told me from a government list so i told him my numbers ex directory dont call again  surely after all these yrs you would think it had been stopped. I never looked at caller id but did 1471 and when i heard numbers 091399 i thought scam straight away  need another 4/5 digits to be a buisness number

I got a call today at 14:17 from 091399.

I use caller display and unless a caller displays a valid UK landline number, I just let it ring. If it's somebody that needs to contact me, they will leave a message.

Number was withheld.  Guy had thick Indian accent.  Told me that he understood someone in the household had had an accident in the last 12 months and that they were a Government body.  We are with TPS, which has stopped 95% of unwanted calls, but doesn't help with these scammers.

Just received a call from this number (at 4:59pm) and he said with an Indian accent that he was calling from Accident Investigation Bureau and had any one at my address had an accident within the las two years. I asked for his postal address to confirm his Company's details and he then just hang up. SCAM.

Action Fraud are not interested in this type of call.  Your best bet is to phone the police, not the emergency number, but the local station number, or report online.  I doubt there is much they can do other then warn people on their web site or NHW, or community programes

When I answered the phone there was a short pause and then caller disconnected.

i received a call 16days back...n claimed of my accident 2009 ...and today i have recieved a halthy amount of 3500 pounds.. :))

yes same here i rec the call n really i got handsome money from them...may b some of broken companies do calls n always bother us  but most of them true...i like accedent veure

Hi just received a call from the number above, said he was from the Accident Investigation Bureau, again he had a very strong Indian accent. When i said yes what do you want, he just hang up!!!! maybe they are targeting a particular gender or age group now!!!
so be on your guard :-)
