Indian accent called me tonight.  Said I had a accident last year.  I said..tell me my reg number then..he couldn't.  I said tell me where this alleged accident happened then..he said Basildon. I said nope try again..this is a scam isn't it.  He rang off.  I was quite rude and aggressive.
I phoned Essex police and reported him giving his 091399 number.   Incident 1166060910  filthy scamming barsteward.

Just received call from 091399 stating they were from london accident bureau, asked how i was, replied im fine then they went silent, then asked if i was person who had accident in last 2 years i said no, no one on this number has he said oh n line went dead,
googled number as its a strange number and found this, thought i should comment as previous comment stated basildon and that is where i live

They are certainly targeting Essex at the mo, missed the call here in Grays from same number.

Same as above just had one now @ 13.15 said the same thing to me,,,
Someone in our household has had a Accident in the last 2 years and it has shown up on our database,
So i asked how he got this Number and that im with TPS, He ignored what i said so i said whats your name went under the name of Mark Boswell.
I then asked him where abouts are you based he replyed the name of the scam again so i said noooo where are you based as in what country derrr then he said London Which is balls as this phone number is a Ghost number (means that he could be anywhere in the uk)
Then i asked him if i could have your phone number to call you back and he told me he is not aloud to give it out (how stupid is that) and he expects information out of me for this scam.
so i said i just want your number and he hung up on me,, can you believe it he hung up on me lol!
When you go with TPS and you get a cold caller you have to find out so much information to report it to them hence why i asked a few question myself and trust me they dont stay on the phone to long then lol!
TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THESE NUMBERS AND WHAT COMPANYS ARE TO BLAME SEE THE LINK BELOW ( i did a bit of looking myself into these phone numbers as i keep getting a 0203 on my mobile phone)
Thanks to this one company that i phoned yesterday she explained i could buy a 0203, 0206, 0207. which makes out im based in london when im in the place like scotland for example, i asked her do you want to know what my buisness is etc, so she said know just need to your bank details to buy one of these numbers and then them numbers will show up on your mobile phone as a london number.
I couldnt believe what she was telling me... So thanks to these people aloud to do this... all of us get these scams which affaid to say some people will fall for it!!

same as all the rest but we have literally just had our number changed and x directory, we havent even given the number to our parents yet so how the hell did he get the number? had to get the number changed due to these kind of calls its getting rediculous the number was 091399 and again identified by 1471

I had a call from this number, asking if anybody had had an accident in the last two years. As with other messages, I asked where he'd got the information, and he told me it was on the database. I told him to (not so) politely get lost. I retrived the number 091399 using 1471. I am in Peterborough

Same as all the above tonight about 7.15pm Peterborough I wasn't at home but my wife took the call, they said someone at this address had had an accident in the last couple of years, she hung up not best pleased 091399

I got this call on 21/10/2010 at 1210pm.
Indian accent.
Caller said someone (caller didn't mentioned name), at my house phone number had a car accident within the last 2 years and are entitled to government funding/claim.
I hung up

Had this number today. Few mins ago.  Caller Display is brill. We live in Peterborough aswell. Must be Peterborough time for the calls! Was Essex.

Just had the same scam call from an Asian who could bearly pronounce 'Accident Investigation Bureau'!

He's ringing Wallasey now.

He must've got on the ferry, just rang me in Liverpool.

The guy's still in the Liverpool area of India - rang twice in 2 minutes (we were out) and waited long enough both times for answerphone to kick in . No message left - surprise, surprise!

Wirral today! Exactly as other callers. As soon as you ask questions, conversation is ended abruptly! x

It's mass marketing scams and fraud really.  They either want your personal details or bank/credit card details so you can be billed for some fraudulent 'service'.
