Got a call about 9:30 on March 3, 2014. Picked it up, but did not answer. I have become very leary of calls with nos. I do not recognize.  Call it paranoid, but I look up the no. first and then call back if it seems legitimate.
This call came to a Wisconsin no.  Oh the joys of modern living!

I have a prank call app that is called prankdail and you can send a prank call from a spoofed number. So it could be something like that.

Got two calls from unknown and wouldn't let me call back around this time

Call from 112-345-6789 9/12/14 - says from Windows and need to fix my computer. They knew where I lived etc and
id of computer. Really scary. Told me someone in California was using my IP address and he needed to fix it.
This is not the first call I have had. They have been calling off and on for over a year. Any suggestions??

I got a call from the above mentioned number and no respond and calling missed calls.

I have been receiving these calls as well.  I was told that my e-mail address was being used in Russia, and that I needed to pay $500 or pay another computer company $1000 to do it for the "normal price at Walmart".
The caller has a very heavy Eastern Indian accent, but states his name is Brian Williams.  Multiple voices in the background have the same accent.  I have my name listed on the "Do not call" list.  These calls make it through anyway.  I finally reported this to Montana's Fraud Division.  Last time they called I told them I had reported them.  Still getting the calls, but have missed answering.
The caller is extremely overbearing and condescending and insistent that 'I must' do this as Microsoft has asked them to take care of the issue.
Clearly a scam, but very intimidating.

May 6 2015 got call from this number11234567890 whole day and nobody there. May 7 2015 started calling again..its super very annoying....

They call and hang up

Just got one saying I got a grant and they need the last four numbers if my social...

This # called me an said the government has drew my name to receive a $14,666 but all I need to do is deposit $350 on a prepaid card so the can verify my identity. Crazy they called me and told me already all my stuff. D.o.B.address. I hung up on them now they won't stop calling. Like 10xs a day..any suggestions.

I received a call from 6789. Those were the only numbers. I answered, they hung up. I've been getting calls all last week from worlds dumbest con artist. Not sure if its related, I blocked the scam number.  If they call back & say they are from the united states grants department of health & human services, ill know its the idiots again.

Called and said they were from a computer company which I could not understand because they had a heavy accent. Said my computer keeps sending them "error messages" and they would like to go over the messages with me. My computer, of course, has not given ME any error messages, so why on Earth would it be sending error messages to some random company? I said, "No thanks" and hung up.

I answered; recognized the "telemarketer" sound in the background so I told the Indian guy who wanted to discuss my computer to hold on, then I just set the phone down and went back to watching tv! I rarely get righteous calls on my landline anyway lol
