got the call today at 10:40am I am in Canada and my subscriber is Rogers. I am getting alot of these american callers the last few months. I just ignore them but really getting on my nerves

On Rogers, got two of these int he last 24 hours.

The wife and I are with telus and we both reveive the same phone calls and it is always from different numbers and always the same [***] but yet i have a new car and the warranty has just started for it.  and the thing that pisses me off the most is i only use my phone for text messaging and i only gave the number to family and really close friends but yet after a month thats when the calls started to come in and it is starting to drive me nuts.  We gotta figure something out so we can stop this harrassment once and for all.  i also have added all my numbers to the National Do Not Call List and yet still get calls from these F***ing people

I just got a call from this number. This is really getting annoying.

I think Rogers gives out our number to these guy to rack up the minutes in the cell phone plans so they can charge us.... especially for those pay-as-you-go plans. A lawsuit should be file against rogers etc for the minutes/money we all lost.

Just got a call (11:42am) Toronto. Im with TELUS. I recently signed up on the do not call registry, I know it takes about a month to take effect so i think the telemarketers share info and just go nuts until then. I heard a rumour that info was being sold to US companies from the do not call list. It was a crappy source ( Telus sales rep ) I cant see a government site selling this info. I know some info was leaked/stolen. Anyone know anything about this???

I received a call on my cell from the above # and have no idea who was calling and no message was left.
Please investigate.

Got one too, and I'm on a Bell plan with a Sault Ste. Marie, Canada. Really starting to get annoying, since I haven't even given out this number to anyone yet.

I got a call from the same number too today at 12:25pm. As soon as I see a long distance number, I just don't pick it up because I hate to pay Rogers a penny more and hate to receive non-sense calls from these telemarketers.  I just ignore all of these calls. I am fine with it. They can call all they want....

Got a call from this number on my Telus cell phone about an hour ago. I'm in Ottawa.

I got a call from them this morning too. Didn't answer.

To GillyG. Anyone can buy the Do Not Call list for (I think) $50. Telemarketers are required to do so in order to update their lists. However, companies outside of Canada have been buying the list and using the numbers, since they are not bound by the rules of the Candian Do Not Call list.

Just got a call from this number.  In the last couple of hours I have received 2 calls from (416) 000-5546, one from this 202 number, and one from some 800 number.  I have also been getting numerous calls from 416-000-**** but the last 4 numbers change all the time.  In addition, I have also been getting calls from California.  I don't answer any of them, but it's starting to piss me off.

I'm in the Ottawa area.... got the call almost two hours ago.... I use Telus, so it looks like they've hit ALL the big companies.

Im in the USA, NJ to be exact. I keep getting these calls every day.  I called back and they asked to press 1 to be removed from future telemarket calls. I did so and the message just looped. This is getting ridiculous! Thank goodness for this site to get some anxiety out.

I am on Telus and I keep getting these annoying calls. Just got a call from 2024957170. I no longer pick up my cell because half the calls are fake. What the hell do I have a phone for then?

I answered b/c I thought it was a business related call.  At the end, I was given the option to press 3 to be taken off of further notification.  Here's hoping.  I'm not on Rogers - on VZW in US.

i just got call from 202-495-7170 and said they are from a credit card services and they want to lower my interest rates.....

got a call on my cell from this number, didnt answer it but called it back from my work phone. Its an automated message that tells you to press 1 if you dont want to recieve any more calls from them... same thing with 773-321-2946 they called, I didnt answer and when I called back from work phone it was another automated message to press 1 if you did not want any more calls
