I'm in New York State and got the same call. It is a telemarketer. 5/29/09

Got a call from this number 202-495-7170 on my Tmo.
I just had this number 2 weeks ago.  I don't know how they got this number since only 2 of my family members know of this number.  I think Tmo publish this number somehow.  Anyway, I will register this number on the do not call list and ... pray!

I received a call on our business line from 202-495-7170
Caller ID showed "LI    BP"
No message left. After reading comments no phone call was returned to this number, 6-1-09

I got a call from this number too, I called it back and immediately got an option to opt-out from receiving calls. Hopefully they won't call back.

They called my landline phone at 11:45 a.m.  Had LI   B P  on caller ID.  Did not leave  any messages.

just got the same call as well, though it wasn't answered.

Received a call Saturday afternoon in Toronto from 202-495-7170.  Did not answer, did not leave message.
I called it back and recording said something like - if you want to be removed from are list press 1, please note it will take up to 72 hours to be removed.
So I pressed 1... hope it works.

I have received numerous calls also; I called this number back and computer answered with "if you do not wish to receive any more calls regarding our special promotions, press 1"...I did, and "thank you" was the response...I have not received any further calls at this point.

Just rec'd call and didn't answer but they left a message .. something about "lowering" my credit rate.  OK I live in Southwestern Ontario and this call was from the District of Columbia.  The girl's voice could be heard clear across the room when I held the phone away from my ear.

I think some of these calls are a way to get roaming and usage fees. As I get these calls when in the US, if I answer I get 1.70 roaming and 1.20 long distance charges

Every couple of months I get the same call about lowering interest rates on credit cards i dont have.

Got a call at the office on our business phone. Also get them at home. Why can't Reverse lookup or other search sites find the number?
It was Julie again and I didn't bother listening to it.

Got a call from this number and when I told her she had no business calling me as I have registered for the do not call list.  Her response was " I don't care" Not much help there.

This is one of several telemarketers that are phoning me lately.    I am also in Toronto but am on the Vonage VOIP system.   About 90% of the calls to my phone are telemarketing so I turn the ringer off and periodically check my voice messages for any real calls.

It really bothers me that I have to pay for the phone service, for these people to pester me everyday.  I am constantly consider living with no phone, but for now it is not practical.

Got a call from these people at 4:44pm on June 19th. I wasn't home to answer it. Not that I would have. I don't answer if I don't know who it is. This was on my home phone through Bell. Time to turn my fax machine back on. I find it works well to eliminate these types of callers.

they called my work at around 10:30 on friday. asking if i wanted a lower credit card rate. get real i have no credit card and it randomly called my work. then it left a message around 4:39 same day. we are on mts, its not just one company they are calling

I don't know anyone in Washington DC, so I just didn't pick-up!

I just got one from this Washington number today Canada Day July 1-2009. Not much of a message left more like their automated dialer doesn't know how to talk. My cell was A Fido and still is called Fido but was bought out by Rogers a while back. I never got these kind of calls until Rogers bought Fido. Rogers is likely selling our information to marketers. Just can't seem to get away from Rogers! I went with Fido and dropped all Rogers nonsense years ago so to get me back they bought Fido, dam! LOL
