Me too.   I am in Canada. Have rec'd 2 calls from this number, one yesterday and another today at 2pm talking about insurance running out.  I was given the option to stop any further calls by pressing  3 which I doubt will work.  I also am with Rogers under Pay As You Go and checking my account I see Rogers have charged me .40 cents for each call. Kind of a hopeless feeling when we can't seem to do anything about this.

I keep getting this call on my cellphone and usually around 10:30 am. Have no idea how they got my cell number. Very annoyed!

Keep getting a call on my Rogers phone from 202 495 7170. What's wrogn with these people? STOP CALLING

I also got a call yesterday late in the morning. Not answered. London, Ont. area with PC Mobile pay as you go.
Also a call from 416-000-7954 not answered.

Same old story.  I get this number once a week - to go with the other morons who call from California, Washington DC and Arizona.  I get these calls every day, five days a week.
I make it a rule to never pick up a call from a 1-800 # or a number I do not know.  If it's important, leave message and I'll get back, but they never do.
My cel is for business only, so I should always know who is calling.

got a call from this number around 1pm today and ignored it.

I got the same thing n i clicked ignore n 10mins later they called back. im with Telus!

How the do we stop getting calls from this number?  I am in Toronto area and have been called by this number probably 8 times in the last couple of months.

Got the (202) 495-7170 call over lunch (didn't answer - no message - checked here!)
Not sure if they are related companies or share info. I actually spoke with the insurance people and asked them why this call was my 100th "final notice" call. They claimed they would put me on the do not call list. I am hopeful but not holding my breath. If they call again, the poor employee is going to get an ear full of sharp words.

This does not seem to be limited to Rogers customers. I am a Virgin Mobile customer and have started getting these calls. They are obviously random dialing, you wouldn't have had to give your number to anyone for them to have it. They are using a random dialing program that will pick an area code and start calling various numbers within it. What fun!!!!

Power to the people

They called me last night on my PC pay as you go phone.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  I have been receiving calls the last month from all over the US offering me car warranties.  Recently I registered with the national do not call list and I am worried that offshore scammers (who cannot be punished) are going to use the list to harass me.

Got one too today!How do you really stop these [***]!

I have no idea how the f*** they got my number, but I have a feeling that once one of my family members placed my private cell number (Rogers) on the do not call list these f***ers started calling.  I did not answer cause I have a feeling these guys are the same as the above f***ers.

i got this call @ ll:45 am and i don't pick up unless i know who it is this is from my cell
