It's Capital One credit card wanting to lower your rates!!! haha They will ask you for cc number. and if it was really cc they would know your number if your were there costumer. I just pick up the phone and hang it up!!!

I cant believe that the executives of these companies would waste time and money paying people to call people who have registered that they dont want to hear from tlemarketers - no wonder they are all in debt. If anyone calls me prospecting I would buy from them over the phone anyway. I would advise unless you call a company and know its the company you believe it to be then dont buy anything over the phone.  Just a piece of sensible advice.

they obviously bought the lists from Rogers... How else would they get numbers that are private?

I've had 3 calls from this number in the past couple of weeks -- 2 on my land line and 1 on my cell (both on Bell network in SW Ont).  I just don't bother answering calls from numbers I don't know.  If it's important or someone needs to reach me, they can leave a message which, of course, these [***] never do.

Trying to sell credit card consolidation services to me. I need to be at least 4 thou in debt to qualify. I thought I was through with this outfit some months ago, when I convinced them to place me on their 'do not call' list. But, they're back...

I have a new game. I see how long I can keep them on the phone trying to sell me whatever it is they are scamming. Made it past the one minute mark this time. I'm trying for at least five minutes of wasting their time...

Just got a call from these losers and decided to google the number. the call went to the fax and they hung up. how can people get rid of these pests? I am from Canada and this is a number from Washington. Is that state not [***] big enough to call folks from there?

their call.I wil NOT return their call.If I don't recognize the phone number I will NOT answer it!.

They just called..same thing..insurance about to expire..ya whatever..not likely.

I reported them to the National do not call list on which we are registered. Some do slip by. We never answer any calls from numbers we don't recognize anyway. If it is legit, really buisness etc, they will leave a message.

We are with Eastlink in Nova Scotia. We don't blame our phone company, as they have no way of blocking this stuff. It is the CRTC's responsibility.

I got a call from this number 202-495-7170 at 9:20am.  Did not answer.  I live in Toronto, and I'm with Telus, but I don't think it matters.  I've also had the call for expiring car insurance.  I guess I've been getting them all these days.

long distance call to this number showed up on my daughter's cell phone and she had no idea who or where it was from.....

202-495-7170 Just got a call from these people. It's from the Washington DC area. Don't know anyone in DC and knew that it wasn't Obama calling so, I didn't answer. Figured if was important enough, a message would be left.
(No message=not important) They left no message. I route my calls through my computer...guess what number is going on my blocked calls list? Come on, just take a guess ;-]

i get this number calling on both my house and cell phone all the time and i also live in canada. i finally called them. the good news is you are connected right away to an a an answering service that puts you on their do not call list!!!! go and do it
