Called just now.  Do not answer, have display. Recognized number so won't answer.  Really annoying.  Why can't Bell stop this.  We pay for this line.  Why can't it be stopped.  This is harrassment.  Can't anyone out there help?

I also recived a call from wenchester DC. Loked it up also a Land Line 3rd call in 4 days from the states dont know any one there aswell.

Answered the call. Recorded message from "Cardholder services." I pressed the 1 to speak to an operator. She asked if I wanted to lower my rate. I said no the recording said to press to speak to an operator. "You want to get taken off the list?," she asked. I said yes and she said it would take 30 days.

this is an annoying scam!!!

Never say yes for it could be a misleading question. You might have commited to something you don't know.

Careful about pressing "ANY" number they ask of you. Certain numbers can allow them to use your long distance. Imagine them getiing access and then they call one of their own 1-900 (pay-per-minute) numbers and you get a bill for several thousand dollars from your phone company !
Try a new web site "fraudcast.ca" ....lists loads of current scams.

this is a telemarketer fishing for "debt consolidation" (LOAN) customers.  they do everything possible to sound like the "cardholder services" department from YOUR credit card company, but they don't even know if you HAVE a credit card! plus they make threatening noises like "this is your third and final notice"!  they are persistent, annoying, and DO NOT honour the "do not call list" [***].  and lastly, if you get one of their humanoids on the line, if you don't play along with their script (like try asking them for the name of their company), they just hang up.

rude, obnoxious, and probably (slightly) illegal!  (which is why they are deliberately calling across the border into canada.)

I received a call  from # 202-495-7170 it was a credit card company  asking to lowe my rates. I live in Canada and my carrier is MTS

202-495-7170 called my house in Canada...Wants to lower credit card interest. Press 1 to speak to operator press 3 to not recieve these calls...Pressed 3 the last time this time pressed 1 to explain I pressed 3 and it didn't work. Dude hung up....So how do you get the harassing calls to stop???????????

202-495-7170 called an hour ago. Left a message about lowering my interest rates etc etc.
Deleted the message.
Same people called from number 000-000-0000.
My house and cell are both on no call lists

this number has called all hours. should be able to shock telemarketers through the phone somehow.do not call list is only a joke,i've had twice as many calls since i signed up

Didnt recognize the number so didnt answer.  Googled the  nmumber and found it listed on this website a a [***] telemarketer.

Live in Maryland, verizon network. I had a missed call from this number, I called it back and got a brief recording that instructs you to press one if you wish to be taken off the companys call list. I did so. Pretty easy solution. I stored it in my phone for future reference if necessary.

Called me on my cell at 3pm.  Prerecorded message about lowering the interest rate on my credit cards.  Went to live person.  He claimed that the company is HH Unlimited in Orlando Fl.

Had 202-495-7170 show up various times on my Rogers phone service - whoever it was did not stay on the phone long enough for my answering machine to pick up the calls - if I see that # show up again, I'm not going to pick it up

Got a call from this number.  Said they wanted to cut my interest rate.  When I heard that nothing was wrong with my credit card, I hung up.  I added this number to the contacts in my cell phone as Bad Number and gave it no ring tone.  Now they can call all they want and my phone will not ring.

I received a call from this number at 1:29pm today on my cell phone (Verizon) so all that showed up was the number. The recording said something about my credit card (which I don't have) and it being my last chance on low rates. I could press 1 to speak to someone or press 2 to be removed from their list. I pressed 1, because I wanted to speak to a person!*S* A lady came on and asked "To Whom Am I Speaking"? and I said "You tell ME who the h3ll I am...YOU called ME"! She called me a D@MN IGNORANT B!TCH and hung up! If I could have reached through the phone, I would have choked her..I was so mad!
