Called and a woman said...Your not going to kick my ASS!....

Received 2 calls in two weeks from 202-480-8200 with caller ID "Washington DC Caller" by accented male (effeminate voice, though) named Marcus.  Mentioned something about "marketing" in broken english.  I asked if he/she was calling about the product I sell.  He/she requested to speak to someone in my IT dept.  I hung up immediately.

This number is constantly calling to our customer service department whiling to use our service but is always a man with a different topic of conversation every time. Once a woman interrupt him while he was talking and said that they were calling from a mental institution for people that have communication problems and that was one of the exercises that they have to help them. If that's true please stop calling business, people and other places where a phone call is way too important. Stop calling!!"

This individual called our company, a reservation line for a chain of Hotels, and used an online sound board for a depressed person who supposedly commits suicide.  This made our agents on the call very upset as they had thought they had been witness to an apparent suicide.

Researching the number determined that it is indeed a Skype number.  We've since contacted Skype to investigate further and determine exactly which account called our specific number.  Hopefully we will get some answers soon as it's caused much distress amongst our employees, though we were happy to tell them they were merely a victim of a sick practical joke and not a real tragedy.

This person/people must be sick. They have nothing better to do then to call me at 4 am, 7 am, 11 pm and leave msg fill of profanity etc. I do not answer this call at all.

yea i just got a call from this number and i tried to call back but it was busy and im just curious who it was

Received a call today from this number.  The guy said he was going to kill himself.  Then he told me to kill myself.  Also asked me if he could [***].  I hung up on him.  When I tried calling back, it was a disconnected number.  It seems some loser with no social skills and no job has some kind of phone number spoofing software so you can't see the real phone number from which he's calling.

I work in technical support for a large customer service center and we've had so much trouble recently with abusive prank calls coming from your service that we are blocking it.  This service will never be taken seriously and will never be able to be used legitimately unless you allow your legitimate users to identify themselves via ANI.  Have a nice day.

To the folks getting this number, myself included, it's a number if the caller is calling from Skype. Most, if not, all these prank calls come from the website "Realm of Darkness", an internet community full of people who share numbers of various victims, record calls, and post them on Youtube for all to watch. To make matters worse, some of these victims' voices are cut into small audio chunks and put onto a soundboard, which are then recycled for new victims. This process has been going on for years and while they think it's all fun and games, they are ruining people lives for sharing personal information such as full names and work places that is shared with thousands of people that browse both their website and YouTube.

And now that I know that the call is coming from a Skype user.  And I from the messages left on this website that they are not able to trace who is making these annoying calls.  I want you to know that I will not do business with anyone that calls from this Skype number.  If they aren't able to trace the problems to eliminate them from the public, as other forms of communication are able to, then no one that uses Skype will get my business.
