Got a phone call at 2 am and thank God I had the phone on silent mode. I have no idea who would call at this time of night but he/she better have a good reason. same phone no. 202 580-8200.

Got a call from this number but didn't answer. Called back and it was a no number or changed. I have skype om my phone so it could have come throug there.

i know that there was someone that claimed to be a skype user on this thread, but for them...... If your using this as part of your business.... i can't imagine what it is you do.... secondly. I just got this phone call, and i NEVER answer numbers i don't know so i didnt answer this one, i did find it wierd that it was a disconnected number. I have the ability to record my phone calls, and i'm an investigator for the goverment, so i definately will be taking the proper procdures to trace IP address, and map signal strength and destination.
It's possible to call from a disconnected number, however the most common way is to hack into the telphone companies network. i would give my first guess that whoever is making the prank calls is an employee of verizon.

This person is now in contact with me, and he thinks I am a fresh fish.  How can we shut him down.  He has no idea that I know who he is.

The person that has this number is now trying to scam me and has no idea I know who he is.  202-580-8200.  Check out this link and see the same scam that he is trying to pull on me.

How can I track him and get his info to stop him???

I got a call from this number today 1/8/2011 saying i won a 6k scholarpship  grant he had all my info prolly from some third party colleges that i applied to he gave me this info that he worked for the

his name was Jason William his job Id was 8420

His story was that I've won money cuz of my taxes and that I was gonna recieve a grant because I've been a good tax payer ( never worked enuf to pay taxes lol ) I followed him along and he told me that I was gonna recieve a call from his manager, which has not yet called. He then told me that he couldn't tell me the what place I wanted to go that his manager was going to tell me and then he asked me to have 2 things. 1 A photo Id and to deposit "200 bucks into a bank account"  so they knew it was me"
I then told him that my sister worked by the the same company as he did and that my brother had gotten one without the need of that and he got scared and mad, then he told me sir I can cancel this application for you right now and you get no free money. Then I told him well sir I am now calling my college Id concelour ( ya was still waking up ) and then he went like o k you will get a call from my manager to verify sir( as if nothing had happened ) rule of thumb if its too good to be true don't trust it
I forgot to mentioned his accent was indian ( not that I have anythign against Indians)
just was really hard to understand

I got a call from this number 2025808200, later found its a call using SKYPE. There is no way to call back but seems to be alright

Same here... my mother called and left a message. She uses skype to call me. I didn't answer the phone because I didn't know the number. So anyone using skype, people you know or pranks or people trying to scam you using skype, you should contact skype and let them know about it. They should be able to track the person.

I got a call from 2025808200 today, but did not answer. Yes, it might be related to Skype use since I have been on Skype quite a bit lately.

i did a reverse phone lookup and googled trhe gps coordinates it showed : 38.90,-77.03 13 st nw wash dc
switchboard.com they wanted 1.98 for more detail.... waste of money... what does skype have to say for themselves ?why are they so difficult to locate?.this type of electronic cloaking is absolutly terrorfying.

No need to get scared about this number. My friend called me on my cell phone through skype and this is the number that showed up on my phone.

It is someone using skype to call you. My girlfriend's mom would try to call her cellphone from Italy and this same number would appear each time

I got call this number 12025808200  around 4 AM but i didn't answer it.

This person have been calling for more the a month but he said he's from London and the caller id showsthe call come from Washington dc Columbia is very anoing call 24/7 I can even sleep well

VALID EXPLANATION.

Actually this number IS routed through SKYPE.. I got a call from a friend which was forwarded from my SKYPE to my cell phone. I missed the call, and I thought it was odd that when I pressed the call back it said the number was disconnected. ...HUH? Didnt think that was possible.

Then I went to my SKYPE and noticed the missed call from my friend in South America. So its reasonable to assume that if this number shows up on your phone.. it is someone calling from SKYPE. Could be someone you know... or not.

Human voices calling repeatedly saying hello, also stating i was a derogatory term for a homosexual person. Possible came from Skype.

same! they had heavy british accents. this is freaky. does anyone know how they got our numbers???
