Report a phone call from 202-580-8200 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- SherI have received many calls from this number, and some as long as 10 minutes. All during business hours. One lookup I did said it was A & S Roofing, but with another number I got a call from, 229-8836798, I discovered it was being used as a scam wanting my company to send water distillers to Ghana, S. Africa, by prepaid shipping with the company THEY requested. The caller prepaid the order with credit cards, which we discovered were stolen numbers. The phone #'s the customer gave me as being theirs and their shippers, were traced on 800whocalled. The names used with me were ED CARTER and MAIGA JONES. watch these numbers carefully.
- CrankyankersLeft a stupid message in the afternoon on my vonage service so i have all the info, here is how Vonage translated the recorded message: "Wake up. Debbie, Tiffany. (Bee?) has been a young of so. Can I please have them whiskey. I need some whiskey. Please, buy me some whiskey. Honey, I'll give you some whiskey from my teeth."
Obviously a loser with a small crank yanker - DSOK- second forum I am posting this on. I also received calls from this number. So it appears to be a default Skype number for anyone who calls from skype for free. All fine and dandy, so obviously this is not some network of prank callers, just a bunch of individual idiots taking advantage of a free service with which to enact their pranks. Howver, we should keep in mind that legitimate businesses and individuals also may use skype, for very intelligent reasons as noted above (anonymity, privacy, etc.). Problem is that the phone call I received this evening was from someone claiming to be a pedophile who doesn't know how to stop. That's pretty disturbing. So I am wondering if anyone has successfully tracked down anyone using a skype number like this. I read on another similar forum that one could do a "batch trace" or something similar, by using the time the caller called in. For anyone out there investigating this stuff, the caller called my toll-free number on 11/01 at 06:50 P.

- DatBoys General ManagerHello My Fellow Posters,
I received the call from that number and he had a deep voice and railed against me with the use of a**hole for alledgedly calling him 3 times in a row. I was polite and respectful all while he called me names in response to his concerns. I stated to him that "I deeply and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or distress that these calls may have caused you. I would like to assure you that it was not I that called and that I would review the company call logs from the last 2 hours to see if it originated from our company, If it did I would take the appropriate action agaisnt the any employee that may have initiated those calls". I then informed him about other possiblities such as, that it could be a switching problem with the phone company and that If it was that I would actively address his concerns with the phone company. Before our conversation ended, I "Thanked Him" for his call to DatBoys and offered him our services at a discount should he ever need a data recovery service and told that if his problem persisted that he should not hestitate to call me at anytime.
People, this guy who had been calling me names and threatening me with legal action actually "Thanked Me" at the end of the conversation. This call could represent many possible scenarios, as an example, it could be that this is a marketing person developing a database to present to customers or prospective customers of what companies to use because that companies personnel can handle even an irrate individual in a courteous, considerate, attentive manner with kindness. We never know ! as one of the other posters indicated. It could be an mentally unbalanced individual looking for the Person he deems worthy of taking his mentally unbalanced thinking and actions out on...like some moron who treats him like crap! You never know. It's always better to be nice to everyone that calls and never hangup. Instead "LISTEN" to them. Then, "ADDRESS" their complaint. Then "THANK THEM" for calling and then you can exit the calling by saying that they "CAN CALL ANYTIME" with their concerns and the "WISH THEM A WONDERFUL DAY" then say goodbye and hangup. This strategy also boads well for possibly getting a trace if the caller becomes persistant.
The only time you should retaliate with a negative demeanor is when somebody is right in front of you and they say that they are going to kill you at which point you should take that extremely seriously and proceed to beat the Demon out of them, unless of course you think that they could beat you at which point if they've actually threatened your life all bets are off...you don't hesitate to grab something that's make a big dent or large hole in their head or body. Other than that, there is no excuse for not treating even those that have issues, with "DIGNITY & RESPECT"...because by the grace of God Almighty of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. You could have been born that person and be walking in their shoes. I thank God Almighty for the problems I have because in comparison with some of the recent problems we've seen in the National News that others have been subjected to...like the Ice Storm here in the Northeast that had left people without electricity or heating Oil for almost a month and that's a very recent issue but let's go back a little and point out Hurricane Katrina. Need I say more! I'd have to say I'm a very blessed individual with the problems God's allowed me to endure in my life.
By the way the 202 Area is out of Washington D.C. and as far as I'm concerned when God booted Lucifer out of Heaven that's where he took up residence, LOL.
Keep smiling life's to short and don't sweet the small stuff.
With Best Regards, DatBoys General Manager - Kuwait called| 1 replyReceived several calls and e-mails with this number recently. First I was polite, now I just hang up. This was a Kuwait man who wanted to do business and was rude and needed immediate attention. He wanted samples to be picked up by someone and a form to be filled out. I'm still not sure if this was fraud, but why take the chance?
