Boy, am I glad I googled that phone number.  I got this same e-mail.  Something felt "off" about it, so I did some checking.  I was in the process of writing him an e-mail telling him I would only accept payment by PayPal when I checked it out.  I e-mailed him back with a link to this site,lol.  What a jerk.

As to the courier, before you go to the trouble of sending it, please change the address to that of where the wheels are stored, as my old boss was upset that I was mailing to him.  So please sends the check too the pickup address which is:

This is a busy man.  Good thing he can't figure out how to send an e-mail that doesnt look suspicious as hell.  This was the reply within an hour of posting my ad. I googled the number, and after finding this site, guess I am gonna give him the address for the Fed's field office and see if he will send them a check.

Yep this is a scam, just asked me to give details for a cheque to be sent for me and details about sending the item via UPS, stated the person was death and so a " secatary would arrange the payment, DO NOT TRUST ANYONE USING THIS NUMBER IN REPLIES TO CRAIGSLIST POSTINGS

Actually, I think they are getting wiser and not using that number as much.  They have tried to scam me three times in the past week.  The first time they used this number (which is how I found this site), but the last two times they did not.  The only constant I am seeing now is that they are offering to send movers and they are offering to have a cheque, money order, etc. to pay for the cost.  The last one I got was so sneaky that I almost fell for it even though I already knew about the scammers.  I'm still not for certain it was them, lol.  I guess we will find out if/when I get an e-mail response.  I told them I would only accept cash and did not give them any personal info.  Anyway, be careful people.  They are getting sneakier.

He gave me the number (210) 209-8524 and he claimed that he was deaf and that he wanted me to via email him or her. This email seemed suspicious so I looked up the phone number and found this web site. Thank God I did'nt give in to this email. Is there any thing that can be done about this person? He or she needs to be caught. Dose'nt this person know you reap what you sow.

Same message.  San Antonio, TX.  I sent him a message telling him that there are too many scams out there and I'd have to wait until the check cleared.  Once the check clears he could pick up my tires.  He said that was fine with him. What's this guys game?
