Just got the same scam e-mail here in cincinnati regarding some tires I am selling.  I told him to just bring cash to the pick-up, we will see what he says.

yep, I got the exact same message in response to a craigslist add in San Antonio TX.

Same thing within a few hours of Craig's listing.  My listing is for northern Colorado.  Too bad Craig's list has turned into this.

I recieved two emails from this same def person bearing this same 210-209-8524
phone number, but what was strange when you click reply, (that I didnot do) the original email address changes from elkabong55@gmail.com to eldridge.ben@gmail.com

We also just got an email on buying our tires and rims with the same wording as all the others. Needless to say, we will not be selling to this person.

Got this email today from a scammer calling himself James Burrows
who uses the email kelly797901@yahoo.com but the email is being fowarded to registerpk@gmail.com

I got the EXACT same message in Cleveland, OH for a car I had listed on craigslist.  SCAMMER! Obviously, this guy has too much time on his hands!

Craiglist scammer, reached me tonight for a car part. All messages from him included below;
"Hello there,pls i will like to know if the above listed item is still
available for sale ???"

james burrows (once it was spelt wrong - borrwos) - w/ multiple email addresses - i have 4 recorded right now
josh rudrock - one email address: awaywashaway@aol.com

also, college station tx in auto parts on craig's list

Monday, May 18th, 2009. elkabong55@gmail.com just sent me an e-mail asking if my item (a Chevy pickup truck transmission) was still for sale. I responded to his email first, then looked him up. Not a big deal, though, now that I know. I think in the future my craigslist ads will ask people to send me their phone number if they are interested in my items, and I will call them (after searching for their phone number). That should deter most of the scam artists.

I just received the same email from James Burrows as well.  I live in Indiana so he is trying to scam us now.  I hope someone gets him soon.
