So if I gave this guy my info but do not deposit the check am I in any trouble? I checked out the email before and the check hasn't gotten here yet but I just want to make sure that I'm not in trouble already. Should I be worried? I gave him my name, address, and cell number.

He is in Provo too apparently, pretty much the exact email. It's scary :\ I gave him some of my info but I am not going through with the check...if it ever actually gets here. Should I be worried?

I received the same email from mike.garry18@gmail.com- I knew it was a scam at once,  he inquired on the status of my "item" [I was placing a cat] what an idiot! Don't even respond to any email's from this loser-[generally seen honing his criminal skills on craigslist] Just hope a huge boulder will fall from the sky and squash this puke where he stands.

I just got the exact response from a Mary.  I'm in Parrish, FL and I'm selling an entertainment center on craigslist.

Just wanted to inform everyone that emintaba@aol.com is still scamming. Received a text message this morning about my listing on CL. The text message was from a "George Morrissette". They wanted pictures of my item to be emailed to them at emintaba@aol.com. Claims to live in Shelbyville, IL. and is a "Medical Doctor".

im new to craigslist and i have been talking to this guy for a lil while today he is claiming he is sending the money now to my paypal account but still havent received it.

I got an e-mail from mike.garry18@gmail.com inquiring about childcare. It was really fishy. Asking about my adress so he could pay me before he met me.

Received the same as most of you that have posted here. The name he used was Henry Thomas. He used two separate email addresses when contacting me. One was henrtom1029@gmail.com and the second was henrythom404@gmail.com. This is what he wrote to me:

There are just too many similarities to what others have posted to not see the scam here too. I'm glad everyone took their time to post their encounters because it helped to make me able to see the issue I was about to have. I wanted to do my part as well and share what I knew so maybe the next person would be ready for it as well.

The same guy i believe just contacted me about my camera and used the same email, emintaba@aol.com but he text me from a different number, 347-915-4307 from Newyork. It was 0nly an hour earlier some scammer named Monica Barry wanted me to send my camera to her daughter in Nigeria. now i cant sell anything without having to look them up first, What a pain in the ass!
