I have selective call forwarding which lets me have some fun... forwarded calls from this number to the Federal Trade Commission, rings my phone once and away it goes... "Welcome to the Federal Trade Commission in Washington DC"...  since they won't do anything about these people let them answer the calls.

Just recieved a call from them. Told them I had previously told them to stop and that according to the Do Not call laws even a non-profit fundraiser must stop when told to. Also informed them that I will be filing a complaint with the FTC, the Illinois Attoney General (my state) and the California Attoney General (their state).

The reason they're calling you is because you do not answer. Federal Law doesn't allow them to leave messages on your machine-they must talk to an actual person before putting a donor on the "Do Not Call" list. They'll happily do it for you. Simply be respectful because it is a human being on the other line. Ask them politely to take them off ALL lists from Telefund and they should fill out a form to get your phone number removed. Answer when they call is my best advice.

I work for them. I can ASSURE you we are hard working lower & middle class citizens trying to make a living in this economy. WE ARE NOT REPUBLICANS & are not a sham. Look us up on Google, read our information, look at our facebook page. No scamming. I am sorry that you have thought our organization has been soliciting for Republicans because that is the LAST thing we are doing. We call for not only political organizations, but for animals, human rights, and AIDS organizations. So please, be respectful to these callers. They're working hard and when there are people like you yelling, cussing, & accusing them of false identification, it puts a damper on our day. Thank you.

I'm in the same boat as Joyce.  I sincerely hope that the humanitarian organizations that I donate to and employ Telefund to do their telemarketing make smarter choices ASAP by hiring a telemarketing partner who doesn't call their supporters ten times everyday.  I already give by mail.   I don't need them calling me at my home.

If you folks at Telefund are truly searching for the respect from the people you call, then it is up to you to initiate being respectful to us, period.  You are calling us...and you are asking for another donation.  It's not the other way around.  Keep in mind that you are calling people who have contributed their support in the past to any one of the organizations that Telefund works for, and if you continue to piss people off with your calling tactics (repeated calls day after day) as well as being disrespectful on the phone when we decline to donate at that particular time, then people will stop donating to these important organizations altogether.  You employees at Telefund are not the only people working hard to make a living.  Wake up and smell the coffee.

I called their number and dialed 304 and was able to put my number on their do-not-call list. This is good advice!

They call at least 5 times a week.  Never a message. Really annoying. I have never caught them to speak to someone to ask to be removed from the list.

Just received a call from them today on my cell phone... I just let the phone ring & ring. I figured if it's important they'll leave a message. No go.

Telefund was calling me non-stop also, but I think I found a solution.  Their website has a list of their charity clients.  As of today, 11/19/12, it included the following:

    AOPA/Air Safety Foundation
    amfAR
    American Civil Liberties Union
American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)
    Amnesty International
    Anti-Defamation League (ADL)
    California State Parks Foundation
    Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee
    Democratic National Committee
    Earthjustice
    EMILY’s List
    Environmental Defense
    Human Rights Campaign
    International Rescue Committee
    League of Conservation Voters
    Mother Jones Magazine
    NAACP
    NARAL Pro-Choice America
    NARAL Pro-Choice New York
    National Breast Cancer Coalition
    National Organization for Women (NOW)
    Natural Resource Defense Council (NRDC)
    Obama for America
    Oxfam America
    PBS/KCET Los Angeles
    PBS/ KCTS Seattle
    PBS/WNET New York
    People For the American Way
    Planned Parenthood Federation of America
    Planned Parenthood Los Angeles
    Rocky Mountain PBS
    Sierra Club
    Southern Poverty Law Center
    WNYC Public Radio
    Yosemite Foundation
    Youth Vote Coalition

If you have ever donated to any of these charities or if you get e-mail or regular mail solicitations from them, you are on their list and that is why Telefund is calling you.  First go to Telefund's website, click on Contact and send them an e-mail asking them to stop calling you.  Tell them if they don't stop, you will contact all of the charities you contribute to who are their clients and request that your name be removed from their list of possible donors because that is apparently the only way you can get Telefund to stop calling you.

Then, if Telefund still keeps calling, go to each charity website and e-mail them.  Tell them you asked Telefund to stop calling you and they didn't.  Tell them why you are complaining -- how many calls, how many a day, what times of day, etc.  Tell them how being harassed by Telefund makes you feel.  Tell them that the only way you know to get Telefund to stop calling is to ask the charity to remove you from their list.  If the charities get enough complaints and loss of donors, they will pay attention.

Telefund depends upon charities for their business.  If enough people complain about their abusive calling practices, the charities will get the message and hire someone else, or they will put pressure on Telefund to back off.  I spent about an hour yesterday e-mailing the charities on their list that I support or who I receive solicitations from.  In my case, that was 14 charities.  I got a response from several charities by e-mail this morning and then from Telefund directly, saying they would remove me from their calling list "today".  We'll see how that goes, but I think it's a pretty effective strategy, especially if a lot of people use it.

I am happy to support charities when I have the money, but that doesn't mean that I have to put up with constant calls, morning, afternoon, and evening, week-ends, weekdays... enough is enough.

I've been called daily, at any hour of the day, and then never left a message. I use a celphone, so that's pretty annoying. What I'd done was add them to my contact and automatically redirect them to voicemail. That worked, but they would still show up in my call log all over the place.

Then I looked them up here, and I can confirm that if you call them you can get your number taken off. Listen for the option in the main menu, or dial 304.

I finally was able to answer one of these calls after they called about a hundred times. It was the ASPCA Collecting donations. As much as I love the ASPCA and what they do for animals, I don't appreciate being bombarded with two and three calls a day of long distance phone calls. One call and a voicemail would suffice.
