Tired of the constant calls with no message being left after the beep.

These are not scammers. They are also not cold-calling--the do not call list does not apply when you have done business with (or donated to) a group previously, and they're having someone call you again. Why would you try to deafen someone who is calling back on behalf of a group you've supported, and given your number to? (And BTW, yes, they can sue you if you damage their hearing, and yes, they do have your name and number.) There are so many actual scammers out there. Why not point your ire at the scammers? And while you're at it, why not find out which groups are paying for these intrusive calls, and next time they ask you for money by email or by snail mail, write back and say, "not this year, because we hate it that you call us." That's the only way to get groups to cut back on calling--hit them in the wallet.

Well, this 213 number is Telefund alright, BUT the mailbox for x304 (to take you off their call list) is FULL!  I cannot believe how many calls I get in just one day from this "progressive" company who is soliciting donations for political campaigns.  Guess I'll have to ask my phone company if this number can be blocked.  It's a nuisance, especially when you're on another call and Telefund calls.  My hope is that their NOT soliciting to fund Jeb Bush's campaign (or any other recessive conservative for that matter).

Just so you know, blowing a whistle in someone's ear over the phone is legally considered battery. You are knowingly and willingly trying to cause harm to another person with malicious intent. A person, I might add, who has your full name, address and phone number on a computer screen in front of them.

Unless it were a video call, being recorded, how could they prove who might have blown the whistle?

They won't stop calling. Three or four times a day. I can't block it and they just leave recordings.

Constantly calls my work number without leaving a message. I want them to desist from calling me; they are a nuisance!!!

I just called 213-487-9500 then dialed ext. 304 as suggested by another post, and as directed in their voicemail to be put on their do not call list.  If it is as easy as it seems, my number should be off their list tomorrow.  We shall see.

Get calls from this number (and others with the same caller ID) three to four times a day. I never pick up. This is pure harassment!

Must have been about the twelfth or more time this month (and it's only Oct 6) this number has called. On my business phone, usually while I'm on the other line. Very annoying. And this has been going on for several weeks now.

I called the number back and got a recording saying they act ON BEHALF OF non-profits. This is NOT the same as being an actual charity, so I have reported them to the Federal DNC list.

Several calls during business hours, never left a message. Finally answered and it was Planned parenthoood fundraising.

no one answers, they hang up. Calls 2x a week.

Well eight years after the earliest comments here, Telefund from L.A. is still at it!

I've given to GOP/conservatives and get called nearly every day by them, but finally I held on the line and got a likewise polite person who put me on the do-not-call list.

I am on Do not call List. These telemarketers should not be calling. Also, they collect high fees for monies obtained for charitable irganizations. If I want to donate to a non-profit I will send a check so all the money goes to the cause, not a percent to some lame-brained telemarketer. Also, using these dissuades me from that particular organization. There are better and nicer ways to collect mmoney.
