I just recieved a call with the same ph#214-969-5489 it was my son using a phone in the greyhound lobby in oklahoma city,ok..They are scattered all over through southwestern bell no scam they just charge $1.69 a minute for a collect call.

just got a phone call from this number an they wouldnt talk for a minute sounded like hispanic or foreign descent voice when i told him he would have to speak up he did then i still didnt understand what he was saying so i said u must have the wrong number an a second later they hung up lol.

i called my husband from a pay phone in wal mart in montana to our home number in montana didnt have any change so had to use a debit card and the number came up as this number maybe the service that handles debit and collect calls are based out of Dallas

This number calls my cell daily.  I never answer.  Maybe I should, my brother is in prison.

This phone is located at South Dakota prison pay phone

I got a call from this number today.  A collect call from my son, who is in Atlanta.  The number is a texas number (payphone).  I tried calling it back and it said it was a non-working number.

I have gotten 3 calls so far today from this number.....214-989-5489. I picked up once and there was no one on the other end.  After the 3rd call I decided to Goggle it and was brought to this site.  I don't know what is going on but will not answer from that number !!!

Got a collect call from this number. The "name" was all muffled, but I knew that no one I know would mumble like that, so I hung up once it said "reverse charges"

BTW this is a Dallas area code.

Also, I have a California number, so i don't really have misdials from Texas calling me.

Folks,  Go to the Florida Corporate Info  and Secretary of state in Texas look them up- there you can get how to contact the Owner, President etc..., all public information.  Write them emails and let them know how much you like their company.  Search on Google or look them up in LinkedIn.  There you can be an educated consumer, get your message heard.

Any company that gets this many consumers liking their business the consumer should let the company know.  I do.  Public information is a handy tool, every President of a company wants to know how their doing and how much a consumer likes doing business with them.

I just received a phone call and my Caller ID showed  "Texas Call 214-969-5489".  It was my daughter calling from a pay phone in Reno, Nevada!

yes same here! it is creeping me out because we triend calling back and it was out of service, but how could they call us!? and it is a texas number.... and everyone is saying it has something to do with jail or whatever....... WHY DID THEY CALL!!!!!!!!!?????????????
